You have to look at what the reviews are actually saying. Even many of the most glowingly positive reviews have straight up said that the game isn’t “fun.” Maybe you like games that are more punishing than fun, but I don’t.

You misread my comment. I’m agreeing with you. I’m not saying that the journalists were wrong for making that joke. I’m saying that even if you wanted to argue that they were wrong for making them, then Cannata is even more wrong for seriously comparing TLoU2 to Schindler’s List to begin with. I agree with you that

Exactly. If it’s wrong for Jason and other journalists to make jokes comparing video games to Holocaust movies, then it was doubly wrong for the original reviewer to make that comparison seriously. But one speaks positively of his company while the other does not, so guess which one he’s upset about.

Did you see where the Naughty Dog CEO is going after game journalists for making fun of that comparison and acting like they’re the ones in bad taste and not the original reviewer for making that comparison seriously as a positive? It’s hilarious.

I disagree. See my comment below. Lots of people care about where the artists they support stand on issues that are important to them.

Did you not read my post? I just went through this bullshit song and dance on Twitter and was not amused. Why should I relitigate it for the thousandth time with you? But I’ll pull this one comment out of the greys and if anyone else wants to take up the baton and tell you where to stick it, be my guest.

Look at it this way. Woody Allen, in a lot of people’s minds, is a child abuser who should be banished from the public square. Spike Lee is a filmmaker who is beloved by a lot of those same people. If Spike Lee were to unequivocally support Woody Allen, that would change a lot of people’s opinion on who Spike is and

I don’t understand what your complaint is. It’s not newsworthy that Spike Lee defended Woody Allen in an interview and then tweeted an apology afterwards? I gotta disagree with you if that’s the point you’re trying to make.

If someone wants to watch his movies still, that’s their prerogative. We all have differing levels of desire and ability to separate the artist from the art. But when you turn into some kind of amateur detective trying to solve a cold case so you can prove to the world that he’s innocent, that’s a bridge too far.

It’s even worse than that I think. At least one of the people I talked to wasn’t even a fan of Allen’s movies. They’re a fan of Allen as a cause, because they want to spread the narrative that men are being falsely accused of sexual assault and “canceled” unfairly.

I made the mistake of getting into it with some Woody Allen stans on Twitter in the miasma below Spike’s tweet. Apparently there are people who spend all of their time defending him and tweeting out links to pro-Woody websites. It’s pretty disturbing.

I just want less fetch quests. I’m playing Odyssey right now and it’s fun, but there are way too many insignificant side quests that are literally just “Run 30 meters and hand something to someone for me.” Thankfully, they have different icons so I’ve started avoiding them now, but why even include them in the first

There is no incentive to be stealthy

Seriously. Thankfully, I have an Xbox I can watch HBO Max on, but it’s a hassle to boot it up all the time and turn my controller back on when I need to pause.

I have a cable subscription and use HBO Go to watch HBO content. I have HBO Max for free, but I can’t play it on my Roku TV. Now I’m losing HBO Go, apparently, the app that actually works there. Good times.

Glad they’re raising money for a good cause, but “Lips of an Angel” is mawkish pap that romanticizes cheating. It’s not snobby or self-aggrandizing to dislike songs that are bad.

There is nothing remotely half-assed about this review.

I enjoy some very dark films. But they don’t last 27 hours and force me to participate in the brutality. Even as someone who hasn’t experienced that kind of trauma personally, no thanks.

Yoooo, this new Georgia O’Keeffe game is dope!

They show it sitting on its side briefly at the end of the video. Apparently, you take the black stand off and put it underneath.
