The idea that just because something is unusual makes it inherently monumental is what I take issue with.

I was really hoping for feudal Japan, but Vikings could be fun. I love the direction the series has gone in terms of playstyle.

Yes. Origins was great.

Weird. The city I used to live in lost Viacom channels for a while, but never a broadcast network. I never really thought about it, but it’s strange that cable companies would even have to pay them a large fee since they’re broadcasting their signal for free.

I’ve always felt that way as well. Though “Down with the Sickness,” the song where the guy screeches like a monkey, was a pretty big hit too, wasn’t it?

It’s also worth noting that NBC isn’t going to be available on every service in every single market.

The words “Disturbed” and “covering” reminded me that they covered Simon and Garfunkel and now I’m too traumatized to make a joke. I’m sorry.

And you don’t even want to know what’s happening to the people who listen to Breaking Benjamin cover Mudhoney.

People who listen to Puddle of Mudd cover Nirvana are right this very minute getting stuffed into trash cans by people who listen to Trapt cover Pearl Jam.

What if you’re totally reimaging it as a brooding piano ballad?

Now playing

Reminds me of this video from a “few” years ago.

Oh man... I had totally forgotten about real player skins. I had some really cool ones.

CDs are a great example of how ephemeral physical media can be too. I have a ton of CDs that became unplayable over time. I should have backed them up and gone all digital way earlier than I did.

It was streaming before, but under a different name.

Yeah. The one here is for tabletop games and deck-building games primarily and has big tables in the back for gaming. Their comic section is very limited.

I don’t know about the teeny, tiny publishing houses, but the Darkhorses and IDWs and Images of the world already put out all their books digitally, so I guess they’ve done the calculus and figured out that it’s worth the risk.

Wait... Is this a documentary that’s just one part and not dragged out needlessly over multiple episodes? Is that even legal?

I agree almost entirely. One quibble though: Hanging out in a board game shop is still a thing thats lots of people do. In fact, I’d say that’s a much more popular activity than hanging out in a comics shop these days. The only comic book store in my actual city is a board/card game store that dabbles in comics

Exactly. If the challenge had only been live a few weeks or even months, I could maybe suspend my disbelief and buy that no one had tried it because cars in this game cost actual money. But five years? Not a chance.
