I shudder to think what else Bradley Nowell got up to before he died if he thinks sleeping with 12-year-old future prostitutes is a funny haha gag for a song.

The Polyphonic Spree?

First of all, I was criticizing the way he wrote the song because the narrative is completely unclear, not criticizing the narrator. But if you think sleeping with a 12-year-old is excusable as simply "the wrong way" and not a completely heinous act that should put a person in prison for a long time, you have issues.

Shortly before taking her to the can, yes. Which I assume means escorting her to the restroom.

Also sad for you. But I've only seen one episode of Lost and insist that it was not a good show, so I can relate I guess.

That line from "Wrong Way" always threw me off as well. I think the beginning is a flashback and the rest of the song is supposed to take place when she's an adult. But it makes absolutely no sense the way it's written. "Annie's 12 years old. In two more she'll be a whore." Wait…so she's 12 in this song? Or 14? Or

Sad for you. He didn't show up until later seasons, so you wouldn't have seen him.

The cool lawyer from Silicon Valley? Don't you mean Ginberg from Mad Men? I mean, I love Silicon Valley and all, but Ginsberg is iconic.

Suburban rich kid pseudo-hippy frat boy sums it up for me. My neighbor is in his 20s and has shaggy curly hair and has a deadybear sticker on his Forerunner and parties and plays beer-pong on his patio right outside of my window until 3 in the morning on weeknights. I don't know that he listens to Sublime, but I know

Stop criticizing your wife! You should be happy that anyone can stand to be around you for more than five minutes at a time, you ugly piece of crap!

My pastor sang "Folsom Prison Blues" for a talent show type thing we did a few weeks ago. It was amusing.

I gotcha'. Sounds like we agree then.

LeCrae maybe?

The Kilborn-era Daily Show called him called him "the Christian Michael Bolton" when they did a piece of him.

Neat. I'll have to check it out.

It's a gem alright. And part of my childhood. I had all the lyrics to both that one and the video The Flyin Hawaiian posted memorized when I was a kid. I think I still know most of them.

Yeah. Multi-campus churches aren't my favorite either. My wife used to attend one in Charlotte, North Carolina before we met. I visited and it was fine. Felt really corporate though. I don't know if I could be a member there. Especially since I have issues with their lack of accountability. But on the other hand, some

I took it more as her saying she wanted to be like his movie bros. It's the kind of mean joke (though not nearly as funny) that Rogen or Segal or one of the other guys in that group would make about him in one of their movies. I didn't take it to mean that she necessarily makes those kinds of jokes to her friends.

I'm kinda' out on analyzing apologies in general. Unless it's a straight-up "I'm sorry you were offended" non-apology, I don't think there's a need to parse every word and write our own alternate apology that better conveys exactly what we want to hear from the penitent. I get what you're saying though. You want to

The way the whole Lena Dunham/Odell Beckham thing was discussed over there turned me off too. The initial article calling her out for how gross her comments were was fine. But the comment section under the one about her apology was terrible. I don't care if you like her art or not. There's no need to talk about
