Odd how Blue Diamond's mourning took the form of saving a friendly organic. I wonder if the Cluster is really Yellow Diamond's way of paying tribute to her sister.

I know I'm not the only one to think this but I kept waiting for him to refer to the two of them as Rory and Amy at one point. There they are, in Manhattan and looking and acting like long-lost friends and that's got to hurt a bit too.

Which makes sense because abusive patterns of behaviour tend to persist in families for a reason. This means that at some point, Leonard will become a massive douche in his own right.

It seemed appropriate.

Imagine Hookstraten's panicked reaction to the realization that Kirkman is what he looks like. A blunt instrument like him in charge is almost as bad as a quisling like MacLeish.

Again, we have to deal with a fact that the Gems are still at pains to ignore: as messed up as Greg Universe is, he was STILL more together than they are because he's human. His adaptability allows him to deal with stresses that are shattering the other side of the family (so to speak). Also, he misses Rose a lot but

WASPs like him DO tend to lump 'ethnics' like Bob together in a big ol'lump of swarthy, don't they?

Yeah. It is.

What's more, Bob has a very strange family who do strange things you can exploit.

He's got a funny way of showing it even for a crazy rich man.

It would be interesting to see Bob from Calvin's perspective. We know that Hugo sees Bob as being the fat slob who somehow stole the love of his life from him but we don't know why exactly Fischoeder goes out of his way to jam it to Bob.

The interesting thing that seems to have sailed over everyone's heads is that unlike Andy, Greg Universe doesn't seem to be especially fond of Greg De Mayo. Greg De Mayo was a selfish and abrasive rake-hell while Greg Universe is a mensch. This will become clearer in a week or so.

It would be interesting to find out WHY the De Mayo family disintegrated just because Greg made a go of life in the Big City. It can't be as simple as "everyone got sick of Andy's beefing" no matter what my niece says.

It's as if he was chosen to stay behind because he's sort of dense.

How very odd that we have to cheer on a President who's a bit of a jellyfish instead of what we got now.

He's also never been fond of the little boy he calls "that little wiener with the glasses" either. Homer has always found Milhouse to be a freaky little mutant that's holding Bart back.

Interesting that Kirk irritates Homer in a different way than Flanders does. Flanders makes Homer feel like a failure….Kirk just plain makes Homeboy's skin crawl because he IS a failure.

It's interesting to deal with Jon Benjamin being a different sort of terrible undercover operative. Usually, he's overconfident bordering on suicidal but tonight, he was nervous bordering on scared shitless.

He's Jack Bauer holding a big, gooey idiot ball. Once he stops being one caricature, he can become a much more enjoyable caricature and kill people with his bare damn hands.

There was another dig at the way he thinks the show has gone down the tubes. After all, Ambition did have to cold-cock Alcoholism and Apathy. Also, there's a Marge we haven't seen in a while: a passive-aggressive Marge who's aware that Homer takes exception to having his MANY flaws pointed out.
