I may take you up on that one day... I'd like to make a trip up to NYC this summer and check out a few billiards places, as well as just generally explore the city a little bit. Any suggestions on a good, non-rainy time to schedule a trip?

Well... I don't hate it, and it's kind of hard to see in appropriate detail given the pictures shown thus far. I'll reserve judgment until I see some actual high-res shots of them.

This thing altogether reminds me of the contraptions my father once built. I must drive this thing at some point in my life.

Touche. But wait a minute... I thought Torch was the one with the deeply suspect forty-year-old Volkswagen. Does Orlove have one, too?

InB4Pelican!

Feeling a little morbid today, are we? You're in New York, aren't you? Go check out all the new intros this week - there's lots of life left.

Not a fan of that hood vent, but otherwise, I like it. It's not a huge departure from the 2010-2013 models, but it's enough to be notably different. I'd be curious to see if the slightly curvier front end is a subtle hint at what's to come with the 6th-gen Camaro.

No, not quite.

Yeah, sometimes it seems as though Jaguar has a little bit of an inferiority complex with how hard it's been trying to match the Germans and their offerings. In my opinion, that's something that's holding them back - they try so hard to compete precisely head-to-head with the core of the German offerings that they

I can't say as I'm a fan of this. I'm sure it'll be fast and fun and all that, but for myself, I'd just as soon have a base XK for a number of reasons. First off, from an aesthetic standpoint, I'm not in middle school anymore. Huge spats and spoilers and wings and vents and whatnot just aren't as appealing to me from

Oh, this should be interesting.

I have high hopes for their upcoming flagship model - especially after seeing the new CTS. I was just thinking it probably wasn't fair to compare Cadillac's mid-size model with Mercedes-Benz no-expense-spared flagship S-class. I do, however, think that it's a fair comparison with the E-class; and from what I can see

Fair enough; I think you did just fine describing what you don't like about the CTS. Those same things that you mentioned, however, certainly had a very different impact on me. When I think of a Chinese taxi fleet, I think of a bunch of cobbled-together little Geelys rolling around and occasionally catching on fire.

I don't always comment on these posts (though I always read and vote), but when I do, I comment to say, "This might be the nicest price in the world."

Nobody can dock you for having an opinion and acknowledging it as such. If you don't mind my asking, though, what is it that you don't like about them?

That CTS is well and truly a striking thing - very handsome and very American, without necessarily being a caricature like the current Chrysler 300 is. I'm very impressed. The interior is impressive as well, though - and I cringe for saying this because I know how unfair and irrelevant a comparison it is - I wish it

"My biggest advice: Get out and drive something."

I hate Marek Reichmann's styling "update," and thus, from that perspective, I'd also argue against the assertion that it's the best-looking four-door one can buy. As for the beautiful pre-Marek-Reichmann's-eye-gouging-update, I've always thought that it was a beautiful, coherent design. My only nit-picky point might

As an addendum, I would also point out that the new Lincoln MKZ has been available for sale for precisely... less than two months. It's a little hard to justify the assertions that you've been making based on so little evidence.

I understand the association that you make, but if you have evidence to the contrary and choose to ignore it in favor of maintaining that association, then that's your decision. You are certainly entitled to do; I do it, too, sometimes. But it's not necessarily representative of reality.
