To be fair, what we call “amphibious assault ships,” the rest of the world calls “aircraft carriers.” And, as it happens, we do in fact have 9 amphibious assault ships - 8 Wasp class and the first of the America class.

That’s a perspective that I hadn’t really thought about; something that I suppose I haven’t really had to think about. Yes, I recognize that fact for what it is: a sign of privilege. But after thinking about what you said, I understand why you feel the way that you do, and why you have a hard time trusting something…
Have I told you, lately, that your impeccable timing with the humor has never failed to make my day?
You were at Shelburne Farms!?
An interesting assertion - though not one that I would agree with in its entirety. I think that it is very possible for the same attitudes behind racism and sexism that privileged white males direct at women and non-whites can very much be leveled at white males. At the end of the day, racism and sexism ultimately…
I wouldn’t know, as I’ve never had the opportunity to drive my dream car. That being said, I would imagine it would be somewhat like the time I got to date my dream girl. It didn’t work out the way I had expected.
Go back to Indonesia. Find an old burial ground, dig it up, and tell them that you’re clearing the land so that you can use it to grow food to feed them. See how they react.
I think that was just poor phrasing on my part; I typed that up on a quick 5-min break, so I was a little rushed. I agree that he wasn’t angry or panicky, but there did seem to me to be a bit of haste and a little less thought than Ford seems to put into other things. Cullen forced his hand, and he had to react very…
I had heard all of the theories that Bernard was a host, but until this episode began, I wasn’t convinced of it. Part of that has to do with the fact that it doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not sure what use it is from a narrative standpoint, and I think that it poses entirely too many questions about the basic building…
That was a great summation of the election, and it got a good laugh out of me this afternoon.
That’s an interesting theory; I had kind of developed one of my own which is explained somewhere in the grays down below, but the possibility of telling the story in parallel like that hadn’t occurred to me. That’s a very, very cool idea.
I’m not convinced that any of the Westworld staff (aside from the greeters) are hosts. I’m also not convinced that the gun is a real gun capable of hurting anyone. There are two many alternative explanations for how the gun wound up there.
Hi. I’m pauljones.
Thanks for the heads up! Another commenter told me about that just few minutes ago, too, and I’m checking it right now. Looks a hell of a lot better than what I’ve been working with before
I’m in the process of checking out the100 right now. God, this looks amazing. I may yet have hope for trying out a raid!
Thank you for pointing out a few of your LFG options. I’ve been really wanting to play the Vault of Glass raid since I have the No Time to Explain quest line, but I’ve had a terrible time trying to find anyone to help/jump in with. Both Destiny LFG and the Bungie recruitment have been absolutely awful to work with.
I’ve pretty much given up on raids at this point. I have yet to paly a single raid, primarily due to the fact that I just don’t have anyone else to get through them with. I’ve tried several LFG sites, as well as Bungie’s own recruitment forum, but have had nothing but bad experiences with all of them.
Rest in peace, Year 2.0 Villainy and Year 2.5 Hacksaw. You will be missed, and rather sorely at that.
I can’t help but love this thing.
Doing good, dude. Sorry for the long response time. I’m not usually around Kinja as much as I used to be these days due to a bunch of other stuff going on in life.
