To be fair, what we call “amphibious assault ships,” the rest of the world calls “aircraft carriers.” And, as it happens, we do in fact have 9 amphibious assault ships - 8 Wasp class and the first of the America class.

That’s a perspective that I hadn’t really thought about; something that I suppose I haven’t really had to think about. Yes, I recognize that fact for what it is: a sign of privilege. But after thinking about what you said, I understand why you feel the way that you do, and why you have a hard time trusting something…
Have I told you, lately, that your impeccable timing with the humor has never failed to make my day?
You were at Shelburne Farms!?
I wouldn’t know, as I’ve never had the opportunity to drive my dream car. That being said, I would imagine it would be somewhat like the time I got to date my dream girl. It didn’t work out the way I had expected.
That was a great summation of the election, and it got a good laugh out of me this afternoon.
Hi. I’m pauljones.
Thanks for the heads up! Another commenter told me about that just few minutes ago, too, and I’m checking it right now. Looks a hell of a lot better than what I’ve been working with before
I’m in the process of checking out the100 right now. God, this looks amazing. I may yet have hope for trying out a raid!
Thank you for pointing out a few of your LFG options. I’ve been really wanting to play the Vault of Glass raid since I have the No Time to Explain quest line, but I’ve had a terrible time trying to find anyone to help/jump in with. Both Destiny LFG and the Bungie recruitment have been absolutely awful to work with.
I’ve pretty much given up on raids at this point. I have yet to paly a single raid, primarily due to the fact that I just don’t have anyone else to get through them with. I’ve tried several LFG sites, as well as Bungie’s own recruitment forum, but have had nothing but bad experiences with all of them.
Rest in peace, Year 2.0 Villainy and Year 2.5 Hacksaw. You will be missed, and rather sorely at that.
I can’t help but love this thing.
Doing good, dude. Sorry for the long response time. I’m not usually around Kinja as much as I used to be these days due to a bunch of other stuff going on in life.
Hey Tavarish,
You and Ash - your comments are the last vestiges of the Jalopnik I used to know and love; where we got into debates about which car was the bacon-wrapped filet mignon of the car world. Where we had competitions over whose car broke down more often, a record that was a point of pride amongst us.
There’s a possible way - I have a buddy who works for an embassy, and bought a brand new car in Europe with his wife right before getting reassigned to the embassy in the US.
1) Does the navigation system come with the voice Charlize Theron as an option?
Like you, I care little for the whole floating roof trend, but that’s something that should at least be fixable with a custom paint order. The front of the car, while not as clean and sorted ar Callum’s original DB9, very much reminds me of the original Vanquish - svelte, but a bit more muscular that prior cars. I’m…
So now that we've seen some real photos, I'm curious as to your thoughts
