A Corvette surf wagon with a targa top?
I don't, and not did I assert that I did. I think you already know that I own a Toyota myself. I just don't like the Highlander for the reasons I stated above.
See my reply to EL ULY above
I happen to own a Toyota. Yep, a little Corolla. I have yet to mock it. It's not particularly exciting per se, but it's been a great little car for a compact econobox and I got a hell of a steal on it. I don't hate it in the least. I just don't care for the Highlander for the reasons that I stated.
Much appreciated. And when in doubt, I'll never complain about a good picture of Candice or Adriana :)
Apparently, the one-child law just wasn't curbing population growth quickly enough, so the Chinese industry introduced these as a way of accelerating population decline.
I know, and that's why I indicated that while I don't care for some of them (like the Highlander, for instance; though there are others that I don't mind so much) myself, I can understand why they appeal to people and that I don't criticize them for it.
Oh.
I approve of this update. I specifically approve of the duplication of reasons 36 and 37. This is an essential thing that must be emphasized.
We all love Top Gear here. Guess what? There's a lot of fakery in Top Gear. Some parts are scripted, some are obvious pranks, and other times they're less than genuine. Does it make us hate Top Gear? No. No we don't.
Here's my problem with the Highlander: it's an extremely popular vehicle I don't particularly like. Everything that's wrong about it (big, bloated, cushy, quiet, comfortable) is everything that makes it popular. It's proof that not everyone thinks like me. That I may be in the minority.
Okay, I'll bite. Why does the Catholic Church make you think of Kate Upton?
Well, Ford makes the C-Max hybrid, and it was just reviewed in one of the major Buff Mags (Car and Driver, I think). GM is supposedly planning on building an MPV off of the Volt platform as well, and the Toyota Prius V is something of a miniature MPV.
Note that I did read that you have two kids of your own, but some people have three kids, some people have four, and some people are frequently involved in community activities where they drive a bunch of kids around a lot.
Oh hell yes. I wouldn't drive one until after I was married, though. I would imagine that in this day and age, showing up in one of those might be a little off-putting to a girl.
Not to speak for Filmlandgrab, but I can see plenty of reasons for owning two. One reason could be a matter of money; if they got one or both of them cheaper than they could have gotten anything else, then why not?
Uh-oh, Raph. Your bold assertion that minivans can be cool has gone against the non-sensibility of the Jalopnik FP interwebz! Those keepers of the definition of cool might not like you now!
It's something of a debatable point. In keeping with Grand Tourer rules, two road-going variants of the car were built and labelled as "production," but there was no actual production per se, as the project was cancelled following a rule change in GT that made the racing version illegal.
As far as general sentiment goes, I agree with you. I don't think that speeding per se is as big an issue as tailgating or other things. I know that if I were behind this woman, I'd be cussing her out and looking for any chance to get around her, but even so, I just can't fault her.
