It's ambitious for any technology company to plan that far ahead in this day and age. five years is a lifetime. Apple will be Blackberry by that point and something else will be the new hotness. And it'll probably be a company that isn't even on anyone's radar today. That is nearly a guarantee.

That's odd. How long ago was this? Because I've always been able to save to docx, but i've only been using Kingsoft for a couple of years, so maybe an older version who knows.

No prob. If you want the 2014 version, you have to search for WPS. They changed their name after 2013 but for some reason started a whole new web-store/download location for it instead of just updating their old one.

Unless you are 120% militant gung-ho on only using open-source and/or afraid of chinese companies, Kingsoft Office (now WPS) blows libre-office out of the water in pretty much every way.
