Hmmm. Signing Off era UB40, I won’t argue. But why they then decided to be Britain’s biggest reggae-themed covers band is beyond me. I’m surprised they didn’t have to start signing on again, as paying royalties for all the songs you play, before having to share what’s left with a band that always seemed to be well

I hadn’t appreciated that’s what the new album was! Fuuuuck, no.

Thank you - that just made me laugh out loud.

yes

I’m waiting for them to release a song called “Found It!”

I wasn’t one of the early adopters, but was a pretty serious fan by the time The Joshua Tree came along. Rattle & Hum just didn’t do it for me and I fell away. Over the years my wife would occasionally remember that I liked U2 around the time of my birthday, so I have All That You Can’t Leave Behind, How to Dismantle

Not at all - it was recognition of a fellow traveller.

Definitely the selection of somebody who played Under a Blood Red Sky to death in their teenage years.

Well that was weird. I came looking for this trailer, and while viewing it I thought - hey it’s Rosario Dawson! Then I thought “Is it?” and it turned out no, it was not. Then I saw a link to the new Haunted Mansion film and took a look at that, only to see it was starring Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson.

He could have been a bit more gracious about it, but I really don’t get the uproar over this.  He was a bit grumpy with an interviewer asking some not brilliant questions.

Which is disappointing after the advice for new cast members sketch.

That is true of all the main UK networks. My personal favourite on ITV is Rosemary & Thyme where a murder or two occur in the vicinity of two female gardeners of upper middle age, who then go on to solve said murders, aided often by their botanical knowledge.

The thrust of your argument is correct but the facts are a bit awry.  The Chairman of the BBC is Richard Sharp, and he helped facilitate that £800k loan whilst seeking the job which was in Johnson’s gift, but didn’t think it was relevant to disclose it.  He has also donated to the Tory party in the past. Davie was not

The BBC guidelines specifically say that the risk of breaching impartiality rules is lower where a sports presenter comments on a political issue.  The irony is of course that by suspending Lineker, the BBC has shown itself to be the opposite of impartial by caving to a bunch of reactionary Tory MPs.

The ratings were indeed higher - mostly out of curiosity at what kind of shit show 20 minutes of highlights with no commentary would look like.

I thought so.  Phone your mother.

Are you my daughter?

Fair play.

Bombers actually.

It would not surprise me.
