The advantage is people can buy the console they want over the one their friends have to play with their friends. so if your friends have ps4's but you want an xbox, you can get an xbox and still play with your friends. when the ps4 pro came out best buy in canada had a promo for a sony 55inch hdr tv with the pro for 1200$ the pro was $500 before taxes so i got a 4k hdr tv for $700.
