Love the Saab as well, and you forgot the best part - Night mode where all the lights shut down except for speed, or another gauge if it gets outside some limits (last quarter of fuel, etc.). So, that provides even less distraction when night-driving.

This is a good topic and a pet project of mine. One thing that this particular dash places a lot of emphasis on (I’d never seen it before) is the legibility of the numerals on the dials and also the consistent scale with which the graduation marks are laid out (i.e., they dont change scale mid-dial).
