The 1st shiny I chained was a shiny Magikarp. :P I had to test it out myself to see if it was legitimate, so I thought a Magikarp was a proper test subject.

Don't forget Chain Fishing is a thing you can do for shinies. So he might of had increased odds.

For me, not counting Shiny Gyarados in Gen 2 or the remakes, my first Wild Shiny Encounter was in White without a shiny charm. I was randomly leveling up party members outside the Transfer Lab in the post game. And BOOM, Shiny Throh! What's awesome is that his Shiny color is Orange and Orange is my favorite color!

I haven’t done a Nuzlocke yet, but starting with Y, I love doing Mono-type teams with my favorite type: Water!!

As soon as that stream was done with Kotaku earlier in the year, I downloaded it on my Japanese 3DS! I haven’t finished it there but have gotten far! I’ll get an English copy when I beat the main game. I don’t know what all the extras you can unlock are (due to not knowing Japanese).

The main appeal to the 1st one (on WiiWare) was the fact that you could get 3 other people to play with you at the same time! I always compare this to a light version of Gauntlet, since you're all just moving about a dungeon and beating up baddies!

I always thought that the In-game camera in X & Y were leading up to a more "advanced" Pokemon Snap for the 3DS. One can still hope, right?
