"What are you looking at? Sometimes an Atomic Gun is just an Atomic Gun!"

"Yikes! Can't we just skip to the dream level where I get to hump Leo's leg?"

That is actually a pretty cool premise for a sci-fi story/movie. Maybe a kind of pre Star Trek story about the development of subspace communications and then accidentally downloading "too much information"...?

"Meesa being called Batman Binks!"

Y—-

Don't Drink Molson and fly!

Having seen ROTJ first-run when it came out back in '83, even then elements of the film looked a bit stodgy, especially the "muppetization" of Jabba's Palace (kinda fixed in the redux but still some ridiculous characters, like the deflated "Michelin Man" Kenny G wannabe and Sy "Toothpick Legs" Snootles. And the Rancor

Why we'll never see flying cars:

I actually remember watching that atomic artillery piece in some "Red Scare" educational films shown in school back in the 60's. It was even available as rolling stock for model train sets!

I'm not giving Peter Jackson one dime to watch his "Hobbit" movies simply because it's going to delay his production of the Temeraire series by six friggin' years! Forget Smaug, I wanna see "His Majesty's Dragon" NAAAOOOOWWW!

Or worse, New York City like in the American version! Actually, it was pretty good until ABC pulled the plug and they made that "cop-out" finale.

Interesting, since "Wrath of Khan" and "First Contact" had even more direct references to Moby Dick to the point of even quoting direct passages from the book in both films. I can see the comparison now that I think about it! BTW: did you notice the subtle nod to "The Caine Mutiny" as well with Decker rubbing the

Ah, I guess I kinda outgrew "Almost Live!" the last couple of seasons. Word was some of the writers were lured to bigger things and the skits started to get stale as the popular culture changed and "political correctness" started to make it a bit tedius. It was still funny in spots, but faded.

Ah, "The Doomsday Machine" was my favorite by far! I remember watching that first-run on NBC when I was, like, 5 years old and the sight of that thing on my parents' first console color tv (plus the awesome musical score for that episode that sounded suspiciously like John Williams' "Jaws" theme) gave me delightful

The "Unwritten Because It Didn't Really Happen Rule": The good guys lose their ship, planet, universe, war, lives etc., but it was really just a vision, dream, or alternate timeline/universe/Moebius loop, etc.

Don't forget the "Big Mouth Bragging Villain" Rule, where the baddie has the good guys at his mercy, in his sights, his finger on the kill button, but just has to waste just enough time bragging and grandstanding for the good guys to find a way out (or at least override the prefix code).

I didn't mean to be so grumpy, but this show has been so surprisingly consistent and at least entertaining (and I still enjoy the little script-quip tributes to the films), but the number of so-so eps in a row are beginning to pile up.

I remember watching "The Science Guy" on Seattle's "Almost Live" variety show from way back in the mid-'80's! Nice to see Bill Nye still Seattle's Best-recognized celeb that's still upright. Keep goin' SPEEEEEDWALKERRRR!

Thought of the perfect custom plate for it: YSOSRS. ;)

This show lost me back at the Junior Jedi story arc. After some of the best episodes of the series (the Onderon Insurgency story arc), this show's fallen off a cliff.
