So, the new GTI is going to look boring and I will never be able to have another one in 3-door configuration. Looks like my new-to-me MK7 is gonna be a keeper if the above is what the future looks like for the Golf (GTI).
“It’s a revolution. It’s really a total digital environment...
Looks okay to me....still wish I could get it with 2 doors....
Golf isn’t mad, Golf is disappointed
It looks so... bored. Not boring, but just bored. Like, you could be huckin’ that thing through some twisties and the face on that car will never stop looking totally disinterested.
This is the picture that makes me think that math is off.
Doubt that would happen, too much tech in it. Brand-new bespoke aluminium construction, Getrag gearbox, custom Sabelt seats, custom Brembo brakes, double-wishbone suspension all round...
Honestly, I’m sick of everyone comparing every single car ever made to the TT. This car looks nothing like the TT and has nothing in common with it design-wise (TT is a front-engined, FWD 4-seater, this is a mid-engined, RWD 2-seater). We get it, Audis are brilliant, can we move on?
Yup, license-made Alpines built in Bulgaria.
I like how the new model doesn’t look appreciably bigger than the original. This is something most “retro” designs completely miss*. Looking at you, Porsche 911.
Yeah! Let’s bring back Dinalpin and Bulgaralpine. Best brand names ever.
I’m so happy a manufacturer finally made a throwback car that ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE THE CAR ITS TRYING TO LOOK LIKE.
Only needs a 6-speed manual to be perfect.
Fiestas are usually manual. What’s wrong with them?
