KOTOR definitely. When the mask comes off, I was utterly floored. I did not see that coming in any way shape or form, and when all the flashbacks happen showing the hints dropped on the way, it was like WOW.

My wife (who was my girlfriend at the time) pointed out that just fucking around in the game was more fun than playing the game itself (popping popcorn in the microwaves, writing on the walls with shit, etc), and at that point, it ceased to be the product that I wanted it to be, and became the product that I enjoyed.

Oh my god! This movie appeals to all of my 80s nostalgia and it’s got my favorite video-game characters in it, and all the pop culture references!

This isnt even nostalgia any more, just pandering. And it is pretty disguting, i think we have another Pixels or Emoji movie on our hands again... Is this rock bottom?

I mean the book this movie is based on is essentially a bare bones treasure hunt plot with a Gary Stu, “Nice Guy” protagonist, casual sexism, and occasionally reminds the reader that things from the 80's existed. At best these cameos have no bearing on the plot.

Seriously, I was watching with some friends and Geoff came up on stage at one point and rattled off awards so quickly we didn’t realize what was even happening until the 5th game title was read. I half expected him to utter the GOTY winner under his breath while another Warframe ad played in the background.

Everyone one of you that have been complaining about Capcom abandoning Mega Man better buy this game.
