Not sure what the actual flower looks like, but if it’s red, then the Galaxy has oversaturated the colours so they look like some kind of garish pink.

The cropping is different in the different photos.

Differences in exposure depend on the specific algorithms used. This happens with all cameras, DSLRs, bridge cameras, pocket cameras, phones alike. (My film Olympus does pretty well with an “algorithm” consisting on some white random-isa dots splattered on the shutter curtain, btw.)

For this test to have any validity at all, all phones should have been mounted on tripods. ANY camera shake (which is random in nature) will affect what can be resolved.

Perhaps they are holding their Lumia wrong?

Instead of pixel-peeping you should take an overall view of photo quality. I think the iPhone 6 images look way better than other phones’ photos. Much closer to DSLR quality. It’s something to do with contrast, as well as colour rendering (generally I think the iPhones have been superior, regardless of resolution,

This “iOS” isn’t a real OS is getting a bit tedious now.

Using it as a digitising tablet with a PC or Mac is a good idea. It would just require an app that talks with a driver on the PC/Mac. Seems likely someone will implement this.

I really can’t see how anyone can compare a flat keyboard-less PC that has a FAN and not so good battery life with the iPad range? I know what fans tend to do in the long run (break), and I bet the fan will make an annoying noise too whenever anything actually needs to be done on that Surface Pro.
