“Hey, there’s no Hell down here! This is all just firmament!”
“Hey, there’s no Hell down here! This is all just firmament!”
“...arthouse horror flick about two siblings digging a hole to hell.”
I skipped over this because it looked like every other “page 49 of search results for horror on Amazon Prime” space filler movie, but I have to admit, I’m intrigued. Still sounds stupid, but half of being a horror fan is watching terrible shit.
“I give you money, you give me Batwoman”
I’d also add that nto only was the schedule known, there are already several CW DC shows where the main actors work those schedules at the same location. So there was data available and there is no way Rose went in to this blind. I also repeat the argument of her lacking experience in the article is a bizarre one as…
Man I’m torn on this one. I work in the industry, I know how awful the hours can be. Even during this pandemic, I’ve continued to work full hours from the office, coordinating all the various edits my company is overseeing, and getting file assets to all the editors working remotely. And then I go home and I work…
I *think* the big issue here (or, at least what should be the big issue here, but hey it’s easier to snark on Joe Rogan right?) is that Spotify will become the only place to stream Rogan’s podcast, and it’s an ill portent of a future for podcasting in which you need to subscribe to seven Spotify-like streaming…
Shoot - I’ve had the pleasure of watching Newsradio reruns on a station here called Antenna and am flabbergasted that Rogan could be the most successful out of that cast. Goes to show talent only goes so far and appealing to stoners and incels is profitable.
RIP. the best comedic performers do this and never make a big deal out of it. devito is another great example (who we must protect at all costs)
Damn it, two comedy legends in the same week. That fucking sucks.
I actually think Spade has some decent chips as a comic actor, but yeesh...it’s tough to hold onto that opinion over the last...20 years or so. As for Sandler, I’ve never liked him in anything that wasn’t opposite Drew Barrymore (well...Waterboy was fun) and I can’t get past my distaste for him enough to try the…
I really like Lauren Lapkus, David Spade is fine, and this movie is not good. I’m not much for Sandler’s stuff, especially the newer stuff which is all just the same movie over and over again with the same gags used in the 90's. Except now always in a “beautiful” resort area! Eh it wasn’t my thing to begin with…
So R2D2 and C3PO aren’t actually lovers?
It’s probably didn’t help that their tag line is: “Reno 911 and a bunch of shit you’ve never heard of...on your phone!!!”
Given that the one thing we’ve learned from the streaming era is that people are wiling to literally sit for hours on end to watch serialized content, I’m shocked that their business model of “young people are fucking morons with the attention spans of goldfish—here’s some content, fetch!” didn’t pan out.
I’m sure the awful name didn’t help.
the best parts of this article is him getting super mad when the person brings up tiktok and then confusingly says ‘where was netflix after 30 days of operation?’ as if they weren’t just mailing DVDs to people back then.
Don’t forget that they are being sued for stealing their sole “feature” (the portrait-landscape thing). If this wasn’t either some Producer’s scheme I would be pretty disappointed (also fulfilling someone’s dream of more Reno 911).
Also, Quibi really sucks
