I saw this movie on opening weekend at the Alabama Theater in Houston, Texas. I say that because this movie was such a shock to my system, like how everyone remembers where they were when they heard the space shuttle was destroyed. The alien spaceship was just so fundamentally, fantastically disturbing.

When you visit Vegas, screw the casinos. Do yourself a favor and visit Pinball Hall of Fame.

I agree with your first statement about comedy stars in movies that aren't comedies, but don't restrict the idea to old movies.  Observe and Report is much more like Taxi Driver than a comedy.  Also, I used to go to a movie theater here in LA that showed only silent movies.  It was great and I loved everything I saw
