I couldn’t agree more with your summation. I don’t remember crying as much during anything recently as I did while watching this. Beautiful ending to a series that took me to so many highs, lows, and weird spin outs. I will miss this show, but couldn’t have wished for a better final season and final episode.

I have so much to say about this series, and this episode, that I don’t know where to begin. (I’ll begin here: this show is absolutely breathtaking.)

Finales are so hard that we give passes to shows like Breaking Bad and The Wire just for not fucking things up. The Leftovers finale was near perfect in every way.
