I don’t like stripes. There is also something really nice about a car that was ordered with stripe delete like a Ford GT or 911R.

If Aston Martin can make the Valkryie why can’t Porsche make this? Probably something to do with dieselgate. If they make it it will probably be all electric.

This is such a simple, cheap move that makes a lot of customers happy. Part of me wants a 959 manual just for fun.

It is, however, very much on brand. His father had a 600.

The first production car fitted with an electrically rising spoiler, correct?

The dead are so conservative

Did that restriction get lifted?

What does Jeremy mean by “I listened to him”? Is he talking about something specific or more just the importance of internet streaming for a show like top gear?

This is someone who drives through this intersection 5 days a week.

So they priced it at $500K so that its still around when the new Supras arrive and they can park it next to it in the showroom? Couldn’t they just not list it for sale?

Has that Tremec DCT been used in any other car yet?

A Belga livery replica is listed on Classic Driver for $145K (for a replica!)

Damn, I’m only vaguely familiar with Irv, but its really sad to hear he passed away. He’s truly a legendary car guy. I’m curious to see what will happen with the P1800. Its definitively a real piece of automotive history, but it would be nice for it to stay in the Gordon family.

The only place I actually see people use space savers is Southie and Dorchester and those are the only places that have problems with fights and vandalism over spots. I’ve seen people in Southie using space savers for a literal dusting of snow. You can’t own a street parking spot. The whole law is stupid.

My guess is that there are a finite number of designs for a car if you want it to go 240+

Has Porsche ever missed with a GT3? Maybe the 991.1 with that whole ‘you may die in a fireball’ issue but they made it right.

Difficult to define, but you know it when you see it.

nailed it

They most likely got the hybrid mandate from the execs part way through the development process for the R36 and had to start over. Similar to the major changes that extended the development of the LFA and NSX.

Not directed at me, but I’ve been thinking about how these screens are going to be viewed in the future (see the Aston Martin Lagonda’s digital dash)
