Shoehorned romances suck- gay or straight. If it’s natural to the story, let it flow. Flow is key.

Personally I liked the fact that villain is “on same level” as the main characters. I’m sure he will be more impressive in the sequel.

I liked that scene too. It took the adrenaline away from that fight and helped re-set the tone for the next scene.
