You’re right. Law enforcement profiles cars out of habit, so if you want to be invisible? That’s about the only reason on Jalopnik I would ever encourage owning a beige Toyota sedan.

Pretty sure red Corvettes get more attention than a white Civic, but what do I know?
Agreed. But, in the defense of sitters...you could still lose your fingers, depending on the kids.
I had a con law professor who had a tradition of inviting the ‘stranded’ students staying on campus over break to his house for Thanksgiving and Independence Day. I loved that man for it, and I thank you for doing this.
I use Adobe Lightroom for organization and light edits. I’ve tried other things before, but nothing has ever worked all that well for me or have been this powerful. And any edit done in the software is all non-destructive, which is so amazing to not have to worry about making sure I keep an original somewhere.
All the more reason to make sure you can afford to have kids.
Single persons income or shared income? I assume a 2 bedroom house would have two incomes. So would you combine those to meet this chart?
Interesting, yeah, I never had any luck with Wi-Fi, it was always super laggy no matter where I was/what combination of computer/iPad I used—but it’s good to know people’s experiences will vary
Ahh, springtime. The wonderful season each year that brings us blooming flowers, and gorgeous sunshine, and warm…
I think the emphasis is on doing it strictly as a couple, as opposed to with a group or with children/family present.
I think the worst thing you can do for your kids is let your kids observe that you and your partner’s lives rise and set on the children. I would argue that the most important person in your life should always be your partner, not your children. After all, once the children are out of the house and living their own…
This is great, but I wanted to add that “going out for the weekend” can be a staycation too! We like to stay home sometimes on weekends and not make plans with other people. Maybe we’ll work on the house, go out to dinner, go shopping. It’s a great way to reconnect.
55? I would have guessed 10 years older.
Yeah, and it doesn’t help that intro bio classes start with Mendel type genetics and try to build the rest on top of that. I teach community college bio, and it’s so frustrating because almost nothing in real life human-relevant genetics works that way. Even the classic textbook examples (brown eyes! Tongue rolling!)…
Great addition. Duty to warn occurs when you think that someone will harm another. Then you have a duty to warn the person who is in danger.
Confidentiality is a really important issue for therapists. Without it people wouldn’t be forthcoming with what happens and the treatment wouldn’t be that effective. Because of this, the communication between therapists and their clients is protected by law. There are really only a few situations where what you tell…
Bought myself a good chef’s knife last year and a cheap set so I could have cheap steak knives for people and a nice knife block on the counter. The chef’s knife is glorious.
Agreed. Someone like Brian Krebs or Steve Gibson would be wonderful.
Have these wired outside to an AirPlay enabled receiver inside. Can control everything while grilling from my iPhone.
