I’m both a little sad but also glad. It’s such a great show and I’d hate for it to get ... less great. Better to go out on top.

Didn’t the AVClub already do an “I’ve watched the first 6 episodes of season 3, and they ain’t good” piece somewhere? I’ve seen that sentiment in a few places, I just can’t remember if it’s here or not.

The Good Place season 2 - Janet And Michael, Derek, Leap To Faith. You could also start an episode earlier with The Trolley Problem. Or do the first three episodes of that season, though that includes a two-parter.

I’m amazed none of the writers mentioned this, or that this isn’t the top comment from The Wire:

This scene, by itself, is funnier than most whole comedies.

As TV Edits go, does it get any better than Die Hard 2's “Yippie Ki Yay, Mr. Falcon!”

My vote would have to go to Richard Jenkins losing it at a bunch of cheering Japanese schoolgirls. I’ve tried, ever since I saw Cabin in the Woods, to match the inflection, the raw fury, he gets on the first f-bomb, and it can’t be done.

Every POTUS so far has been an imperialist and war criminal, which should make the observation with regard to one or another pretty banal in the scheme of things. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m saying there’s not really a point to bringing it up.

It’s indeed depressing that this war criminal isn’t in prison for the rest of his life for all the people he had his robots murder, super-villain-style, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria...
