I loved that her (their) intentions were completely opaque. They're not humans and I really appreciate that the film didn't try to rationalize or explain what they were doing or why.

I remember reading an article about the correlations between one's sense of humor and political identity. Self-described conservatives favor derisive humor directed at a person or group of people. Self-described liberals prefer satire and surrealist humor which requires one to see things from an others perspective.
