I know it’s just the paradigm of the day, but reviewing a show episode by episode is as misguided as reviewing a book chapter by chapter.

It’s crazy that this TV movie, a decent adaptation despite its limitations, managed to produce one of the all-time great screen villains. Really wish the remake could have gone the Netflix or HBO route (the book’s amazing interludes could be fill entire movie all their own).
There’s no question, Daredevil: Born Again. A self-contained, yet in-continuity epic deconstruction (and reconstruction) of the character. Miller and Mazzucchelli at the peak of their powers.
There could be an Every Frame a Painting entry explaining why they’re all pretty much inferior. Nine times out of ten I start watching one of these knock-offs and end up saying, “No shit.”
