Yeah re-reading about Al Gore I saw that term and I think I’m slightly too young (30 < my age < 35) to remember that phrase. I mean basically back in the 80s/90s he was the kind of politician who Gizmodo readership (in theory?) would love: he thought that access to technology would enable freedom and democracy to

I’m not sure if you’re old enough to remember the phrase, but young Al Gore was very much an Atari Democrat. I don’t personally use that term as an insult, it’s just what was used to describe young Democrats like him in the 80s. Hardly a bolshevik.

I’ve always been amused that, in the Red Fear minds of climate contrarians, somehow moderate Democrat Al Gore became the epitome of Radical Left-wing Socialist Communist Bad Guy. I mean this is the same Al Gore who didn’t like the Kyoto Protocol because it insisted that developed countries should clean up their mess

I lump together all arguments based on pointing at Al Gore and grunting into one category. It is easier that way.

if tongue was testicle

Actually, I believe that should read “Al Gore is fat” according to my uncle

Also, consider that there is a difference between “having” time to read, and “making” time to read. Yes, you can’t add hours to the day.

This seems like a really spendy luxury. I know in Missouri, notaries are prohibited from charging more than $2 per stamp. Most do it for free, and most banks and government buildings have a notary somewhere. Some post offices, too!

Where I live (CT), attorneys can notarize documents—and we typically do it for free. You should also check with local banks.

I have heard some (some! not a lot) Bernie supporters parroting right wing talk radio crap about Hillary. My dislike for Hillary has nothing to do with Vince Foster, ffs.

If you’re serious about wanting to read more and willing to think outside the box, I strongly suggest giving audio-books a try. You may think it would be odd, you aren’t into it, it’s “not the same,” etc. but it really helps me get through my reading list.

Your trolling expedition found a troll, because lol.

Yeah, I don’t think Hillary supporters are all anti-semitic idiots. I just got a little lost in a train of thought on how it’s somehow Clinton that’s accusing Sanders of negativity. And the media just lets her spin, spin, spin without doing any homework of their own.

ETA: Actually, I replied to the wrong comment

If you don’t cringe in horror when watching this, then you’re not human.

He wasn’t rude, just terse. He didn’t mouth the standard cliches, so people are piling on him.

Great. Now in addition to having my feminism questioned and being called a Bernie Bro, I am going to be lumped in with people who are fighting against Clinton for all the wrong reasons.

Pretty horrible, but sums up what many Hilary supporters believe. Somehow because I’m a woman I should be voting for Hilary because she’s one as well. Or I’m sexist because I don’t vote for Hilary. Everyone wants to talk about BernieBros, but Clinton supporters are just as bad (if not worse) when it comes to these
