Well, that was his story to Phillip and Elizabeth, anyway. I was starting to suspect double agent, which is one reason he'd have no compunctions about hurting Pasha.

I think Robyn's days are numbered. Isn't LF in line for The Eyrie if Robyn dies?
There's absolutely no believable scenario that includes LF "breaking up" Sansa and Jon. I saw that clip where D&D try to plant that seed, and I was like, "Are you kidding me?!?" We just spent how many seasons watching her suffer because of him, finally getting a clue, maturing, escaping from under his machinations,…
Plus, they made a pretty big deal of her ritualistic dressing. That was no casual Cersei gown. She was in coronation gear.
I missed your comment earlier. I agree it could come home to haunt Jon. He was caught between a rock and a hard place, and I think he made the wisest choice. It did seem like he was gazing out on her riding away with full knowledge that he might need her some day (and not as resurrector).
Another thing that happened last night, which I haven't seen mentioned, is the exiling of Mel. I despised what was done to Princess Shireen as much as the next person, but I got a definite uh-oh feeling as she rode away. I think Jon might rue that action, because just as Dany needs Tyrion beside her, I think Jon might…
My point was that I doubt she'll have any trouble with Jon over it, because he has other priorities. Thus, the question of legitimacy is moot.
All this talk about who has the most legit claim to the Iron Throne is moot. Jon doesn't want it, his entire goal is to defeat The Night's King and the spread of the WW's, plus we all saw that vision Dany had at the HotU: she finally claims the throne room, but it's destroyed.
I thought Ness' Y.A. "Chaos Walking" trilogy was excellent, so I snagged "A Monster Calls" as soon as it was published. Granted, the story is not a Ness original, but he turned an unfinished project into an unforgettable reading experience, enhanced by Jim Kay's stunning sketches.
It was absolute perfection: the quiet buildup and the lyrics enhancing the dialogue. All of the music selections have been stellar… even though quite a few of them weren't current to the late 70's (more like the very early 70's).
I'm with you on Bear being the best bet for family leader, but I disagree about any pragmatism on his part. I think the killing of Simone was only partly motivated by righteousness. Dodd endangered Charlie and is directly responsible for Charlie being in the State Pen. Losing Charlie was the absolutely worst thing…
My favorite video:
Yeah, that's one of the few MTV things I liked that they did.
Too funny.
Everyone's denigrating Uhtred for not listening to Leofric and running straight to Alfred after the battle. It's not that he disagrees with Leofric, it's mostly because he's very anxious to see his child (remember infant mortality in those days was more likely than not), plus, as he told Leofric, his heroism was…
"Breakdown"
Petty has had rock god-like status in his home state since the late '70's, especially on the college campuses, and for good reason. The Heartbreakers' live shows, simply put, are phenomenal… and have always been so. Even in those very early years when they didn't have the benefit of hi-tech sound gear, there just…
The last time I saw Bruce and the Band was in Miami during the "Born in the U.S.A." Tour. Four of us made plans to get a hotel room, stay overnight. and make the 21/2-3 hr. drive home the morning after the concert.
Maybe they're not real soldiers? Or officially assigned?
<quote>Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams finally released his full-album cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989 on Sunday night. And Monday, he stopped by Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show to discuss how the whole project started. Oh, and the interview also features an appearance from Swift herself. Skip to 7:40 to hear her join the…
