@Shinta: Dear God the Destructoid review of Vanquish infuriated me. I can deal with times when I absolutely love a game that doesn't get great scores all around. But when every other reviewer on the planet is giving a game scores of 80-90+ and you give it a 5/10 something is wrong.
How do you have 1up giving this a 25 on the chart? They gave the game a D, and if you're going to convert that to a 0-100 system then each number would represent 20 points. An F would represent a score of 20 (assuming no game has ever gotten a zero), D would be a 40 and so on.
Any above-average-but-not-necessarily-crazy-good PS3 guys wanna run together once the network is up? I don't think any of my friends are planning on getting this game and I think it'd be more fun to run with a consistent team.
At least there won't be any growing pains. Once the PSN is up everyone will have plenty of practice and know what they're doing which will hopefully make for better matches! :)
@IcoSotc: Episode 1 is fun and worth playing. Episode 2 is just fantastic.
@soren121: You're probably stuck at the part where it's not obvious what to do and you're running around a plaza with a constant stream of crab head zombies. I ran into the same thing. You're gonna want to look for a booth with a lever to move a platform, then an area with some boxes to jump on to get up on the…
@GamerKT: The only disc based games I have that I haven't beaten are 3D Dot Game Heroes and Brutal Legend. But I have Brink coming tomorrow so that' keep me busy.
@Drogmir: Since it doesn't come out for another week, I'd say you're probably safe just waiting.
@Hisilarn: THIS! I need a Persona 5 asap. Though I'm pretty attached to the Persona 4 cast. Since the PSN has been down I started my fourth playthrough of 4. I'm pretty sure all three previous playthroughs were a solid 40-60+ hours.
@excel_excel: I had to break-down an pre-order because Amazon was offering a credit. I think it's not likely to be bad enough that I will regret buying it and I didn't want to lose out on that credit if it ends up being great.
@Walking Eye: There is a very good chance of me having a breakdown if it's not back up by the 10th. I've been looking forward to this game for way too long to not be able to play it online. :(
The reason is, if she spoke, they wouldn't have been able to have that jumping joke at the beginning of Portal 2. And that was one of the funniest bits in the game.
The operative in Brink looks way more balanced than the super-sprinty, go-an-entire-match-without-breaking-disguise infiltrator in Killzone.
I'm pretty sure I'll be maining as a light build medic, parkouring around and healing folks at high speeds. Then I'll roll a heavy soldier on the side. It's gonna be fun! :D
@chickdigger802: I don't know. This one seems like it could have the best story yet and the graphics have definitely been improved. If the multiplayer is as good as it was in the second and they have some killer set pieces then it will be a contender for sure.
@Azel: You're not supposed to lose all of your items when you start a new game+? That's frustrating to know. Having my items imported would have made my insanity playthrough easier. Also, on the Overlord mission on the PS3 the sections of the environment during the vehicle segments are a pixelated mess.
Honestly, I'm relieved. One less game I have to buy this year. My Q4 is booked!
@thebigcheese: Yes, the only reason to keep your card number logged is convenience........which is why keeping your card info saved on the PSN is OPTIONAL. Also the card thing Flying Shoe Man brought up. Thanks for playing.
@Jekku: You can buy a PSN card in a retail store for credit or buy one off of Amazon and have a redeemable code provided for you to use the instant you cash out.
