... and clean up your shit.

Was thinking this was the end, given I didn’t see this earlier - but glad to see they’re still keeping this thread a goin’.

Well, no, but they were still kinda cool - and an excuse to long ones shuffle thread from their still-existent iPod classic.

R.I.P. - Reasonable Discussions?

While I’m pretty convinced these writers could do almost anything with the show, I think that boat has sailed. I think having Diane and Bojack together would be about as successful as other ill-fated “will they or won’t they” pairings - once the two get together, and you lose all of that tension, the quality of the

I’m going to have to go with the noodle strainer as the superior comic payoff - just for two reasons: it highlighted some of Mr. Peanutbutter’s more ADD and even OCD traits (e.g. ‘let’s buy a lot of shit!’), and the hilarious Mad Max-style visual gags.

I oftentimes wonder how the writers do it with this show. Diane’s reaction to Mr. Peanutbutter’s library gesture was like looking at an optical illusion - with a variety of possible images that can be seen. You sit down and watch it, and think her reaction is entirely selfish, and borderline cruel to someone who

I’m also going to have to rewatch to see if I can see if Sextina Aquifina got into Season 4.

Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon’s rapport was some of my favorite memories of WWF when I was growing up. Both were absolute legends on the mike.

Understood - given the context of the penultimate episode, I was essentially focusing on the “current day” goings on in the Bojack universe.

It seems the campaign for Mr. Peanutbutter ended on too neatly: Mr. Peanutbutter decides it’s not a good idea, and amicably drops out. Not that I expect the writers of this caliber to cater to an audience’s expectations, but the general expectation I was going on would be that, of course, Mr. Peanutbutter would win -

I didn’t do too much laughing in this episode. Instead, it was more like it was an epiphany. I kept thinking “wow, this really happens in other people’s heads as well - it’s not just mine.”

This episode was absolutely dizzying - to the point of delirium, following all of Todd’s exploits, but what a payoff. As someone who himself routinely questions his scale on the asexuality spectrum, this was a much-needed dose of empathy and humor.

Yeah - I didn’t know how invested I was in Todd’s story until I literally yelled out “YES!” in my condo when he publicly came out with his asexuality.

Fiona Apple’s “Regret” - if just for the lyric: “Now when you look at me, you’re condemned to see / The monster your mother made you to be.”That line always makes me squirm.

I was wrong, but not as bad as I usually am: 8.0 - but no BNM awarding. I’m still buying it

I think they’ll most likely choose this album to not necessarily fall out of love with (see The Arcade Fire or Animal Collective) - but will probably want to avoid looking like they’ll give a BNM to every single release they do (which it looks like they’ve done since Boxer ... we’re talking proper albums).

Since I can’t seem to edit my comment (thanks, Kinja), I can’t edit my last comment, so I’ll just add that this week, I added a few albums to my ‘acquired, so I must listen to twice’ initiative - I spent way too much on vinyl this week. Bought David Bowie’s Blackstar, and an original (stereo) copy of The Beach Boys’ Pe

The more you listen to Penthouse, the more you’ll fall in love with it. “Freakin’ and Peakin’” has one of the most amazing jams I’ve heard in a song...ever. Stanley Demeski’s drumming toward the end of that track is just amazing.

New stuff: The War On Drugs’ A Deeper Understanding, and LCD Soundsystem’s American Dream; Part of my ‘listen to each album you acquire at least twice’ initiative that I managed to get to this week: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Push The Sky Away, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Alleujah! Don’t Bend Ascend.
