Team No One. Bette is being a jerk and a hypocrite, and Ariana fails to comprehend the meaning of feminism and needs to stop being a thing ASAP.

Brad and Angie fighting? Like real married people do? OMG!!

I just came here to say Bette looks FABULOUS. I'll have what she's having.

w/r/t intelligence and depression, i am assuming this is why he didn't feel terrible at all, testifying with this message.

um taylor was gr8

It's not nearly as serious as all that. I don't care for Hemingway. Whether he is great or not I leave that up to better minds than my own.

It is interesting that something which has been the norm in American society up until just very recently and is still the norm in many other societies you would call not even "remotely healthy."

Its great that you love your family! But that doesn't mean that its actually remotely healthy for you to still be living with them.

For me it's people who are just generally anti-intellectual. Like the guy who joking-not-joking called me pretentious for reading Nabokov on the subway, said I was hipster for liking music he hadn't heard of, and categorically didn't like movies with subtitles. Of course, he was in his thirties and reading The Hunger

The fabulous director John Waters says that if you go home with somebody and they don't have any books, don't fuck them. Leave at once. Because... just no. No candy for non-readers.

Thought that evolution was a hoax. Ended there......I have dated ALOT of jerks

I'm with Stephen King that you have to be a reader to be a good writer. I don't make any judgement on what someone reads, but they need to be interacting with storytelling through written text. I understand not wanting to read in your own genre, but that doesn't excuse not reading anything ever.

Right? I don't expect everyone to love a particular kind of reading (poetry, classics, post-modern novels, etc.) but I don't understand when people don't like any kind of reading. Not even fashion magazine when you're at the gym? Spy novels? Old copies of the Baby Sitters Club?

Ugh, as an actual historian, like, with degrees and all that jazz, armchair historians are the most annoying people on earth. Oh, please tell me more about the names and important dates about dead white dudes. So stimulating.

Ugh, the exclusively non-fiction folks. I cannot.

Alternately book snobs are also The Worst™. I dated a guy who was a writer and tried hounding me on all the books I had read recently... which I hadn't... because I don't read much (oh god, I know, I'm awful), and then he was a shitty dick to me afterwards and kept listing off all the cliche authors he read and tried

So who's your favorite author?

I once went out with a guy who said he was a writer, and since I'm also a writer, I asked who some of his favorite authors were. He said,

Didn't believe in vaccinations. Ended it right there.

Religion. This is especially hard to avoid when you live in the most conservative part of California.
