It is to be expected. Hot, exotic peppers are well-known Lothario's in the vegetable world. Those naive belle peppers never stood a chance.

That's surprising. It was drilled into my head in OK driving school around the same year along with DateLine stories about road rage murders.

It's often too much to ask me to remain sober on Thursdays, much less look at things.

You and I have almost exactly the same gaming log and progression. Work really killed my attempts at getting further in TMS and OS:L and now with No Man's Sky coming soon, they may get pushed further back.

I honestly think that Prowlers were added just to balance all the gathering. And they are fun, to an extent. And getting to watch a Cephadrome's tail swipe go completely over my head is a hoot. The camera could use some work when attempting to melee monsters though.

Agreed. My enthusiasm has tanked especially when I think back on all the fun of MH4U. I haven't even gotten around to actually fighting the Big Four yet and it feels like I never will. I can't even imagine how long it will take before I can get to fun Guild quests that other people will be willing to actually join in

I'm almost at the point where I prefer Hipcheckasaurus over gathering. On a positive note, I've never been so flush with money or crafting materials this early in a MH game. They also do promote more weapon experimentation with the Hunter Arts and all.

Moving into a big ol' grown-up (rental) house this weekend so any games being played will be emotional and probably suck. Much like the endless number of gathering quests in Monster Hunter Generations, which has so far had the most boring beginning of any MonHun game I've played.

Once I realized how much attention I would have to pay to my phone's screen when I normally wouldn't (like when I'm walking or driving anywhere) and the fact that there are only about three major features of the game, I uninstalled Pokemon GO right quick.

I was pretty 50/50 on it. It was really annoying to have to chase the monster all over the map just to have it take off across the water. And agreed on the monster designs. Lagiacrus is still a pretty cool dude, but my secret MHTri favorite is Barroth.

They have definitely improved their designs. The Seregios and Gore Magala made for some pretty inspired first fights. Though I think they could stand to back off from the "T-Rex but…!" format for a while. Maybe include some more arthropod monsters like Nerscylla.

Yeah first it was frenzied and apex, now there's deviant forms. Those guys are probably into some really kinky, monster-type stuff. The selection is greatest hits (and ugh… Khezu) and some lackluster new monsters.

I agree with all your points. I think with the arts, it's just a matter of learning to work them into your repertoire, after that they are way more fun. I guess the reason for the absolutely bonkers amounts of boring quests at the beginning are due to there being no G-rank, so they pad out low and high rank quests.

"Come as you please": Mario Golf tourney or casual orgy? You decide!

Eh I'm not one to buy a system for one game, so on instinct I'd say no. But the 3DS has a pretty impressive library of games that is going to keep growing since the Wii U is basically a wash at this point. I'd probably wait until a sale and grab both then. If you do, get the new 3DS if you can. Bigger and easier to

Just like most of the internetizens today, I too once tried to push a truck after getting dubious advice on the internet. Unlike the rest of you, I really can't get into Pokemon GO. Having to look at my phone while I walk is too distracting and I think loitering was the true original sin. Plus my phone heats up to a

I feel like being part of a cohesive team precludes shooting your teammates in the head when you are trying to heal them.

That was the age I went dino-nuts too. Lasted for a good 8 years too. Since you specified your son "thinks" igaunodons are your favorite, I have to ask what your favorite dinosaur really is? Follow-up question: does your son really know you that well at all?

Yeah I sometimes have to look up architectural styles (except for Georgian!) to get a better mental picture. Same issue with faces. It seems to me a lot of language for describing faces doesn't have a simple analogue or are specific enough (lipstick shade, eyelashes, etc) to get a feeling or point across, but not the

Depends on what's happening on the page. If a scene is exciting or a tad confusing, I'll try to set up a mental image of what's happening. I have trouble imagining faces though, so scenes are typically populated with a bunch of blank faces just acting it out. If it's boring or more abstract I tend to just go with the
