How does everyone hate this? This is the best HateSong I've ever read!

I did not know the Future Islands guy was Hemlock Ernst.

I'm in the same camp as you, although I still enjoy their other stuff. I know how you feel about it not being the same though, TLCW, Long Drive and Building Nothing are on a completely different level.

"Mr. Dotcom, I'm FBI."

One perk to always dating women with shit taste is that all I have to do is avoid bad Top 40 and cheesy rom-coms for life.

I see you Rhea.

I don't know whether I hate this because it's a bad idea, or because everytime a sequel gets announced I wrack myself with anxiety over whether it will live up to the first. Either way, I probably need to get a life.

Frank Black and the Catholics - All My Ghosts

Backstreet Boys s/t, 6 years old, not ashamed at all. i'm glad I got through my
Top 40 phase early.

Literally Go Fuck Yourself: The Movie.

That is a very good point.

"On Girls, as in real life, there are no fairy-tale endings."

Jax Teller overcame what had to be crippling mental disability to lead his biker gang.

Yeah I have to agree here. In fact, maybe it's because I live in a VERY white city, but Tyler Perry movies and Shonda shows are dismissed as being 'for black people' because that appears to be their main audience. When these shows and movies are poorly made, the assumption begins to be 'wow, black people really enjoy

Black Santa's album "Sorry if This is Weird." Can be found on Bandcamp. Excellent underlooked album in the vein of Modest Mouse meets Pavement.
