I mean, the current generation of Sequoias has been around since 2007 if you can believe that.
2. Excessive, indiscriminate airbags. Yes, think of the children. Also, please think of the insurance cost of repacking them. All airbags should be weight-activated like the front passenger. No more unnecessary deployments.
Considering that Trump used the word “tilted”, was your choice of words an unfortunate and innocent coincidence, or was this some sort of subtle way of connecting Trump to the term slant-eye?
FYI the Prizm and Corolla had the same powertrain options. The base Corolla came with the exact same 1.6L 4A-FE that the base Prizm did. As far as I remember, the only major difference was the HVAC/stereo system; the steering wheel, shifter, switchgear, etc. were all identical. Any difference you saw was probably due…
Except for the Geo Prizm, which was a rebadged Corolla.
The space and utilization of a sedan is from my point of view also unbeatable. This is a nice thing.
Those are factors that are way down the funnel. Trying to drive sales for a product that doesn’t have strong interest by saying “look, there’s not much depreciation” is a losing proposition.
That’s fair, although I’d argue that’s turning more and more into the exception. For instance, the X3 is considerably longer than the 3-series wagon, the XC90 is longer than the V90 (just barely), the Forester is longer than the Impreza 5door, and the Tiguan is longer than the JSW/GSW. Even with a shorter length, volum…
If 340 wagon comes to US, might be able to snag it in 3 years for around $30-35K.
they offer the cargo volume of SUVs
The GL is also considerably safer than a Dodge Caravan, which might just matter to people with kids...
He’s a U$C grad. Fighting (on) is just par for the course :p
Yeah...the Bay Bridge, not the Golden Gate Bridge.
When I say driving dynamics, I mean responsiveness. Most people in the target demo for these cars couldn’t give a rats behind about that (unless you want a Camry that’s grounded to the ground). They care more about how comfortable it is and how reliable it is.
Neither Honda nor Toyota has any trouble moving their CVT cars without putting cash on the hood. Methinks it has to do with other aspects of the car and not the driving dynamics.
I can’t help but wonder how much cheaper this would have been if it had a twin-turbo J35 instead of all the electrical wizardry. I can honestly say I’d be interested in something like that if it was priced like a GT-R...but dropping this many bones when there’s no shortage of alternatives like the McLaren is tough.
The big thing is that you can use Waze or any of the native Maps apps for turn-by-turn navigation ala a built-in navigation system (especially important since most built-in navs are hot garbage). It can also display your text messages, control your music from the touchscreen or steering wheel controls (hell of a lot…
Thing is, the 1.5T’s are already having some teething problems. Honda is slowly rolling out a fix, but it’s a software fix for a physical hardware issue, so I’m not sold on it yet.
