Brightline trains are the deadliest in the nation by far, and the company has had a lot of explanations for this body count

Alternatively, people are just no longer reporting them anymore. GL trying to get someone on the line, let alone getting an officer to come out to take a report.

Crumple zones aren’t really a thing when it comes to side impact crashes. In fact, the less crumple the better because cabin intrusion is what kills you in these types of cases.

License plate is registered to a 2023 Camry, so even if it wasn’t stolen the occupants were definitely up to no good.

I’m not sure where you live, but here in the US it’s not $22K more when you do an apples-to-apples comparison. A base XC90 T8 costs about $73K. A base XC90 B6 costs $62K. That’s a $11K difference for an extra 150hp, and some of the cost can be recouped by local rebates/credits for being a PHEV.

It’s not even 17th; who knows what it actually is, because AFAIK NHTSA never stack ranks cars against each out.

The dude looked at an alphabetically ordered list and for some reason assumed it was ranked. Telsa just coincidentally is the 17th car alphabetically in this group:

I bet you this bozo just looked at the list ordered in alphabetical order and assumed it was a ranked list. He’d probably also tell you Volvo came in last place. Telsa just coincidentally is the 17th car alphabetically in this list:

I just may take you up on the offer. Any chance I can get your work email so we can talk details?

Somehow Civic Si’s around here are still selling for well over sticker when you can get a fully loaded Integra 6MT at MSRP. $36K for a stripped down Si or $37K for a loaded Integra? I really want to know what the Si buyers who are actually paying that kind of markup are thinking.

The Si is great but in my state (California) Honda dealerships are asking for at least $7K over sticker on them. That puts it about $1K cheaper than a 6MT Integra which are now selling for MSRP, and at that price point it’d be stupid not to get the Integra. But I may be biased, because I did just that yesterday after

Where there’s a WiLL, there’s always a way...out

You think a $2500 markup on the HRV is bad? SF Honda is asking for $37,359 for one that stickers for $27,290.

Alfa

Except for the part where the word “defund” is more often associated with “remove funding (completely)” rather than “reduce funding (partially)”.

I don’t know anybody who consults IIHS ratings before buying a car, but I guess I’m glad it still exists.

The RSX Type S from 20 years ago also had 200hp, which was 40hp more than the corresponding Civic Si. That makes the pricing seem pretty poor given that you’re getting less performance (relative to contemporaries) for the same inflation-adjusted price.

Ah I forgot about Mercedes. Good catch.

Well, at least we know the rot is from the top, and how exactly Erin managed to get her job back after fucking it up over at Wirecutter.
