I wonder how buyers will react when they cross-shop against the 301hp V6 Camry.

I wonder if the new pistons solve the ringland cracking issues.

Interestingly enough when I was looking at getting a Golf R a couple months ago, I found that the S3 was actually cheaper because the R’s all had ADM, whereas the S3 could be had at invoice. Go figure.

The previous Si was leaps and bounds better performing than the regular Civic; can the same be said about this one now that it shares the same 1.5T motor (albeit with a slightly different turbo impeller design and tuning)?

Survivorship bias.

Except for companies like Volvo. They design for the real world, not just what’s tested.

The next time my wife asks why I plan on buying a large SUV, I’m pointing to this video. The only reason the lady in the Impala is alive is because she was incredibly lucky. Had there been a passenger, he/she would be very very very very dead.

It’s almost like they’re part of Gawker.

Probably would get their butt’s whooped just like Kentucky would even if they played against the Net’s benchwarmers.

Same reason why I don’t watch the D-League, MiLB, AHL, or Cleveland Browns games; why watch a lesser product when I can watch the best?

Not really hate. I’m Asian too and I find the stereotype to generally be true. You should see my mom drive.

Good man

Came here for the 1.5psi and digital tire gauge reference. Was not disappointed.

Do rear facing carseats fit? I had problems trying to fit those into a GTI without requiring the passenger sitting up front to move the seat almost all the way to the front and upright.

Technically, Moore’s Law doesn’t reference processing power either, but empirically the doubling trend applies to both processing, memory, and storage.

Sure, but the OP compared it to the GTI. The GTI is hitting 300whp and 330wtq from a stage 2 tune. I don’t think the 1.5 will get anywhere close to that without a turbo upgrade and maybe internals to boot.

Well, in the aggregate everything may be amazing...but from a power perspective this underperforms to its peers, so it’s hard to be happy. I mean, it’s amazing that life expectancy has gone from 40 years to 80 years, but if I only live for 60 years compared to everyone else who lives for 80 years, I’m not going to be

A few of my coworkers have Leafs (Leaves?). After 3 years their effective range has dropped from 80 miles when new to less than 60 miles. Not sure I’d even pay 8000 for 60 miles of range...

Hard to say. Baseline dyno of the car was 163, which is more than the advertised crank HP, but this was on a DynoPack which are known to spit out higher numbers than DynoJet and Mustang Dynos. It’s technically WHP, but not all WHP are created equal, so... probably more like 210 at the crank?
