Autocar has details on what they're calling the fastest and most powerful front-wheel drive hot hatchback in existence. The 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque at just 2500 RPM (in a Honda! Jesus!) come from a 2.0-liter turbocharged i-VTEC four. The zero to 62 mph (100 km/hr) dash happens in 5.7 seconds, and

I didn't know the Pilot had SH-AWD. Unless they changed it for this iteration, I believe it's still the cheaper and simpler VTM-4 system.

Which is also based on the Pilot, which is also based on the Accord. All four share the same platform, but the MDX is far more Pilot than it is Odyssey.

TIL Volkswagen drivers are completely oblivious to their surroundings. Why didn't she just drive off like everyone else he was running towards?

So...did this ever actually happen?

Or Kalifornia

I can't unsee that now.

Don't know if it's worth anything, but one of the moderators on NASIOC supposedly worked on the AWD system for the RS.

To be fair, to me the interior of the ST felt better than the new WRX, and day and night better than the old one. And it's not like Subaru had any problems trying to sell the STi that loaded up also hit the 40K mark.

I think it'll be more STi than WRX. Or at least, a Stage 2 WRX with upgraded brakes and other suspension bits.

Even with a spare tire, it doesn't necessarily fit. On my car, the spare tire doesn't clear the factory front brake rotors, so if I have a flat in the front, I need to put the spare onto one of the rears, and then take the rear and swap it with the front. Thankfully the car doesn't have a staggered setup...

The IIHS did adjust for driver age / gender/ experience in their models.

Diesel fuel cans are yellow

My brain says Scat Pack, but my heart and balls says go big or go home.

To be fair, I don't think sleaziness is limited to just Mazda dealerships. Plenty of stories from dealerships across all manufacturers.

Top one looks like a Malibu with a body kit and rims.

The 6 is more engaging and dynamic, but that also means it's less leisurely and detached. Those are qualities a wide swath of buyers are looking for, so even if they did drive the 6 they probably wouldn't like it.

Doesn't the Mazda 3 compete with the Civic and the Mazda 2 compete with the Fit?

Or invest more money building more rotaries :).

Yeah, but that's kind of my point. The price isn't the reason why people aren't buying these cars, since in the real world they're undercutting the competitors by quite a bit. All the other stuff you mentioned is on point: size, practicality, historically unreliable brand, etc.
