    The picture of earth-with-a-hole is maybe a frame long, from a vision Chris has, so it's definitely just a reference.

    That scene with Cheers was really like AT's take on the part in The Road where they come across the father's childhood home, and the son doesn't like how the father drifts into a world he can't enter.

    But in "Memory of a Memory", it shows her completely alone, and she says that Hambo was her only friend. I think Simon really might have disappeared before Hunson came back.

    I'd really love to see their earlier history, especially since "Finn the Human" implies they knew each other before the war, or at least before whatever final bomb unleashed the Lich (I think the image of Simon freezing the bomb shows him standing near rubble, so that part probably happened in the middle of a war).

    Same reason the Iliad doesn't show the fall of Troy - no need when everyone knows how it ends.

    Considering "No One Can Hear You", he didn't freeze it quickly enough. Maybe the deer have dedicated themselves to evil for vengeance.

    I thought this episode was strangely happy and sweet compared to "I Remember You", especially how much better she's handling Ice King now than in that episode and the preceding 990+ years of his insanity.

    Well, not if he's kidnapping her…

    The Candy Kingdom Precursor is kinda like the inverse of the Ice King's
    "inspiration notes" from "I Remember You". Those notes, with the
    scribbled lyrics he never got to give Marceline as Simon, hinted at the
    other world, shown more fully in the final flashback, that underlay Marceline and the Ice King's interaction.…

    My favorite is Catbug saying Impossibear.
