What did you think you were replying to?
Yes, and wages have failed to keep pace with inflation. The US has had a decade of continuous GDP growth while wages have hardly reacted.
“How’s the patient?”
What fail? The solitary goal of any op’nik so called ‘article’ is to hit the mandated word count, so my/goodness/by/god blahblahblah, that seems to have yet again been met, as the usual blather between punctuation flows like...wait for it....air flow paint - anyone with expectations to the more can just go hang. No…
A Jalopnik article that completely and utterly fails to explain what airflow paint is, how it works and what it’s supposed to do...
No, GM didn’t sort of try. They did the absolute bare minimum to meet production goals in order to fulfill an agreement with the Australian government. Apart from being their car in NASCAR for a few years, Chevrolet make zero effort to market the car. They never intended to sell the SS in volume and succeeded.
It was expensive and it lacks the cool factor that the Charger has for sure.
They brought it here for a bit, yes. I will absolutely disagree with the claim that they tried.
Let’s be fair, though, about driving a Jeep on-road. Rock crawling with a Jeep=awesome. Driving a Jeep on a paved road after one snowflake has fallen=utterly terrifying.
Valid point... But FCA can still fuck off.
Ummmmmmm....I’m confused?
2/4 of the recommendations were obnoxious.
Jeep Grand Cherokee?
For $60K, I actually think his best choice is TWO cars, not one.
He just wants a new car, but has to promise his wife to get one that can hold value. Otherwise she will never sanction. The whole thing is a scam to ease his mid-life crisis.
I don’t see it so much as “obsession” as a recognition of basic mathematics.
Ding Ding Ding!
And then what to do with the other 16 grand?
I am a Texas resident so for any of you northerners interested, I will gladly help you buy one as long as you “store” it for winter with me.
