First was eventful (but has a decent ending), borrowed my dad’s truck to get a load of pallets from a newly built neighborhood development for a bonfire during labor day weekend with a good friend of mine. Taking a rural road to get there and just after a train crossing there is a street on my left, but before that the

Quick question (since I can’t seem to find it in the official rules on the RW site) I thought I saw/read where cars that were built in the 80s-90s but models ran into the 00s would qualify to be entered in the show....correct? Say a 2000 BMW z3 (MY 1996-2002.)

I realize that driving a car from the 60's isn’t for everybody, but my first car is what you test drove (almost as you describe it, drums and all.) In my experience in daily driving it for the better part of a decade, (and didn’t crash it or die) I find that my more modern vehicles have made me less attentive due to

Exactly my thought; and working on one’s own car? Perish the thought!

After your reaction during the Moab trip when the heater hose blew, I wasn’t sure if man or machine was having the worse meltdown. Best of luck to your nerves!

“The leak is between the top tank and the core, so I think the job should be straightforward for a specialist, and hopefully less than $50.”

Yeeeeesh on the price.... I just hope Ford doesn’t put themselves in the same lurch as they did with the previous generation base models and put them within the same price bracket as a moderately equipped F-150.

“Dear Prof. Darwin,

As someone who was born well after this movie came out and only discovered it 10 years ago, this to me was what Cannonball Run tried to be but focused a little too much on the “schtick.” Concentrating more so on the race, pacing it as though the race mattered and the cars oooo baby the cars.

Not a terrible car, good and floaty as he describes, but I prefer the Mercury variant.

Here’s a few of my favorites:
1964 Sunbeam Alpine with a modern “Tiger” Ford re-power 4.6L Supercharged DOHC (03-04 Terminator) and mating T56/IRS.

Between my Dad and brother, its usually a never-ending gifting of car parts to one another. Dad is restoring his 65' Mustang Fastback and has a shopping list for all that’s left to get, my brother and I have been chipping away at the list for the last few years....he should have most of what he needs to put it back

Potential stupid question (I know nothing of these era of Jeeps); could you remove the wheels/fender liners/wheel wells and come up from below?

This.

I’ll give the short version: Carmax, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (and a wife whom was dying to own one) take the pre-determined route....truck won’t shift out of 3rd. Spooks the wife, pulls over on the highway, turns it off/on and we continue the route. We figure its a fluke, and we’ll do the route again, get to the

I always thought of it as a light-hearted take on the source material (fill in the gaps with some schtick.) Even when I saw it in my younger years I couldn’t take it too seriously. Good for a non-brain engaging chuckle once in a while, but not much else.

Truly an under-appreciated movie, take your star.

After driving both during their initial runs working at a Lincoln/Mercury dealership, I saw a period of about six months where there were quite a few Escalades traded in on Navigators. While I’ll give the 6.0L its due, interior fit and notorious standard-issue GM plastics killed it for me.

Couldn’t agree more with this and my interest goes into the 80s wood clad LTD wagons as well. Guess it’s partially my dad’s fault, he had several f150 and 250s (solid trucks but bare bones and gutless) of the late 70s while I was growing up. He has the Mercury version of pic #2 in his garage now.

Hey, I’ve spun out on their starting line!
