Best of luck to Mr. China. IMHO His simple, methodical, approach to fixing each system of the project one at a time showed the viewer “hey, car repair might not be so hard after all” (eating an elephant and all.)

That’s where the whole “pro-touring” movement comes from, in its infancy started around the early to mid 90's and exploded in the mid 2000's.
Sounds similar to one of my experiences, my wife had a discounted price pulled up on her phone and after we go the OTD price (including what I believe to be duplicate “dealer fees”) it was closer to $2200 over the pre-negotiated price. At which point we were told “well X company doesn’t know our fees,” (even though…

Dad’s midlife crisis, Rangoon Red 1965 Mustang Fastback 4 speed; currently torn apart for a much needed restoration. Next would’ve been his 66 Coupe and then my 67 coupe.
David, find a project that someone has started and gone through most of the systems but doesn’t run there are a couple sub $1,000 projects here: http://www.ewillys.com/category/cj2a/ that you could use the good stuff from and be ahead. Either way, I think at this point your deadline is shot. Unless you and a team of…
I’m 33 and just had a dealership try the “ what’s the payment you’d like ?” Attempt at a negotiating tactic on me. No m-effer, I made you an offer, you didn’t like it and now I’m leaving. I’m not getting upside down in loan for the sake of my perceived budget. I realize my wife and I look young, but we’re not stupid.
As a former resident of the communistwealth of Virginia and with family living in Virginia Beach, I can say with certainty that most HOAs and city ordinances there are the pinnacle of “get of my lawn” for that area.
Agreed, CP. Definitely has had a re-spray (poorly) with the wrong color combo; that’s an XLT color package with Eddie Bauer seats and badges. See post #3 last JPEG (from 88 brochure, but the only thing that was changed in 88 was the addition of the 5.8L): http://broncozone.com/topic/22885-1988-bronco-dealer-brochure/

While I’m in no way a Jeep expert, I think you’d be ahead if you found a TJ with a wrecked body and a 4 cylinder and just swap the shell of the CJ-2A over.
I’m not too far from his HQ either and have seen him around the area in his down time. He’s a very genuine guy and always happy to talk with his fans.
As others have said G8 or if you want a little weirder:
2005 Focus ST before we got the real thing:
Ooo Troy Lee Designs edition! 4WD perhaps?
True for a ‘67 as well, got the pinch hole to prove it.
“We’re passionate about building the legacy cars exactly to the original specification,” said Alan Lubinsky, who bought AC Cars 20 years ago. “We’ve even managed to find a source of brand-new 260-cubic-inch V8s for this project — and I can assure you that wasn’t easy.”
New year’s day after trying to forget nearly being t-bagged by a midget, we’re waiting for my brother’s mustang to come around. We hear it fire up, the valet floors it through the first three gears “warming” the tires on his way back. He opens the door, hops out looks at us with his hand out expecting a tip; we looked…
While the picture links seemed to have failed looks like he’s lost interest, but here is a little background on it before he listed it: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.p…
