I went the opposite way last night because I needed cheering up after a couple of hours with Walter and Jesse.

I watched three episodes of Downton Abbey at the request of Mrs. Cars, getting me caught up with last night's episode. Because while I'm in Afghanistan she wants me to keep up with her appointment viewing. Fair enough, we need stuff to talk about. I thought the three episodes I watched were excellent. There's an awful…
But at what point does Watson ejaculate?
From Mrs. Cars' Facebook post: "Ben and I are watching it. Last night's episode made me laugh out loud. But by the end I'm confused as to why it's funny."
I put it to you: that specific reaction is what makes it funny.
It is very clear (as mentioned in the initial pre-broadcast review) that Will Ferrell and the kids watched the HELL out of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. The Eric Jonrosh narrated openings, even down to the long hilarious list of accolades and hobbies, is straight out of a Dean Learner production.
I'm not complaining at…
She ain't looking so smug now that she's a melted head.
Aw, Dukes.
It's really worth watching, especially for fans of Old Who.
Lobot was my favorite Star Wars action figure to play with. I liked that he had a computer-enhanced super-BRAIN. And could point effectively, directing the guards to stand down.
That's Community love for Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews Band… including shorthand for both bands. Recycling jokes? Maybe, but luckily I love BNL and I tolerate Dave.
Dean Pelton has a fake butt.

More blankets and more coffee!
He's not even spelling it right.
Sympathies, my man. Say hi to the outlet mall for me.
Though thanks to my time in central Indiana, I now think Columbus is in fact Pawnee.
From Phoenix, we hit KIA if we need stuff. And Route 7 is always in an uparmored Toyota Highlander. Never been to ISAF HQ but I'm sure it's a lovely place. I have to hit Bagram for a new CAC. BAF and Kabul will also be colder than a witch's tit this time of year.
This January especially! It was cold last October, I can only imagine transiting Atterbury in the dead of this godawful winter. Those barracks are drafty and the issued wool blankets are inadequate to the task.
Short answer (curse you, NuDisqus!): no, I checked AFN's schedule for the coming week. But they DO have How I Met Your Mother and endless episodes of Breaking Bad.
Kabul, huh? I've been to Camp Phoenix. I'm at FOB Torkham now but pity me, I have to visit Bagram on Sunday.
Great question. I don't have AFN in my office (my last office had a flat-screen) so I haven't been following the schedule. But a quick search of the coming week says NO, not on any AFN channel. Maybe they're afraid it'll remind deployed soldiers what they have to look forward to when they get home. I plan to torrent,…
Mrs. Cars got me into Psych a couple of seasons ago, thinking its humor would be in line with my own: rapid-fire pop culture references, absurdist non-sequiturs, and just the general feel and pacing of the show.
She was completely right. I will try to keep up with the season, especially if this is the show's last.
