I’m surprised I didn’t see yall write anything about this, but since it’s related. It’s been in the news here for the last couple of weeks:

I read this not as satire of feminism but as satire of the Rosenberg Washington Post piece—that excusing an abhorrent position (child eating or anti-LGBTQ “morality clauses” in an employment contract) by saying “hey, but it’s great that a woman is doing something modern and non-traditional!” is ridiculous.

It’s about money pure and simple, not gender politics or racial politics no deeper than good old fashion greed.

“A TV show about R Kelly? Haven’t heard from that dude in a minute! Lemme catch up on some of those jams from back in the day”, while completely ignoring any and all context, what the show is actually about, what the news/websites have been reporting, etc.

How is it possible that nobody in a medical facility noticed that a patient in their care was pregnant?

Oh my god. This immediately brought to mind the scene in Kill Bill where the hospital attendant had been assaulting her while she was in her coma and just jesus fucking christ. This poor woman.

I hate to say it but, that not actually true, since the 1970s. You just copyright it as choreography.

That’s like saying you can’t own a song, cause we all have voices. Can’t own a book, cause we all have fingers to write. Can’t own a game, cause can all type code. Absurd argument.

I think we can safely file Kate Plus 8 in the ... not as wholesome category? They were cute as toddlers, and I will admit to watching the show. (Grad school was a dark time.) But things went off the rails when that marriage disintegrated, and I do not feel good about contributing to their continued exploitation.

Like many, I remember the trash circus around this story. The media was going wild and was obsessing over the minutest details of her life. There was a lot of gleeful coverage over how she couldn’t afford all of her children and how!dare!she! use welfare to feed her children when she’d made the choice to have so many.

Got it! You support the right of women to make their own sexual choices and to have full bodily autonomy... so long as they’re the choices you agree with. SO FEMINIST.

He may be right, but who gives a shit? Tabasco is delicious, but if you aerosolized it and sprayed it in my face I’m pretty sure I’d be praying for death within seconds.  How fucking dumb is Fox’s audience that they don’t get that?

I support Matt Whitaker for Acting US Attorney General.

Like, I don’t break apart my KitKats; what’s it to you?

Do not suggest that this is some sort of Canadian thing. Burritos may not be indigenous up here but we do know how to eat them the properly. Covered in cheese curds and drenched in maple syrup.

Get thee to Eshakti, where *all* dresses can be made knee and/or tea length, and you can customize the sleeves and bust of most. Their whole schtick is almost custom. And as a bonus, they have an enormous size range.

Because the only reason he holds the rallies is to hear people cheering for him. He doesn’t care about the politics, it’s just ego stroking, and they cheer for that shit, so he keeps repeating it. It means nothing. He’s a lab rat hitting the pleasure button, he doesn’t know how it works but it makes him feel good.

Sounds like exactly what Kroger wanted you to do.

The problem is you’re conflating asshole behavior with sexual harassment simply because he is a man and you’re a woman.

this dude looks like a fake Onion article about 2017 rappers
