You use the 540i because the front subframes and steering racks from the i6 cars interfere with the V8 multi-piece oil pans.

Generally it’s the latter. The heater in these cars is remarkably strong with such a small cabin to fill, and the vents keep your lower half warm on chilly drives.

a ‘75 may just go for 5-figures due to the emissions exemptions, but I’m highly suspicious of the “11,000" miles. These things only had 5-digit odometers, and then they roll back to zero. The seller of mine tried to pull that same shit on me with all the old paperwork and“only 35k miles!!!”; it was closer to 235k…
