That might work, but I know on my car the EPS fuse is 70A. That would have to be one hell of a resistor to keep up with the current demands that the EPS computer sends to the assist motor!
Depending on the rack, you likely wouldn’t be into the feel. My S2000 tripped a fuse for the EPS while I was up on some mountain road. “Unimpressed” was my feeling as I drove 15 miles back down the mountain roads to the nearest parts store.

My Honda S2000 has one, as has every Civic for at least the past 19 years. Come to think of it, I think my old ‘92 Subaru Legacy had one too.
Because the drift event coordinators don’t usually do a sweep of the lot with the competitors. Some of the bigger events will make people pick up their pieces, but really, without a street sweeper, you aren’t getting around the rubber.
Haha, I did to. I used to work for MaK (now Caterpillar Motoren) Not as big as some of the Wartsila engines, but you could still feel the 4 Hz thumping of the engines in their test cells from all the way across the campus.
You would need an aftermarket HUD to project those gauges onto the A-pillar.
