My Samsung tv can tune into cable and satellite signals without the cable box. I don't know if it's a European thing or what, but I don't need a cable box or cable card to tune into digital cable. No DVR, but then again I never wanted one...

I use WP7.5, with PC Remote and Xbox Smartglass. There isn't a device on my home network that I can't control right from my mobile phone! The free version of PC Remote does get a bit annoying with the ads, but if I have to deal with it to control Spotify from another room then I'm all for it.

They are one step away, IMO. They have the Xbox Smartglass app now, which basically renders the Xbox controller useless anymore unless you're playing a game. Truly, truly brilliant and I'm shocked that there hasn't been an app like this before now.
