You seem to have taken quite a beating over this, and much as I love beatings, this one doesn't feel entirely fair. People seem to have missed that the opinion you've expressed is actually positive. But since it's not positive enough, you're obviously an elitist contrarian snob who hates fun and wants this awesomely

I like that idea too. The trouble is when you introduce any kind of mystery character to the show, the render farm that is the Internet will have it figured out within seconds. Even I had Missy pegged from day one and I'm no good at this stuff.

Oh yeah, they'd never do it. The regeneration is far too big of an event (and ratings opportunity) to just toss off like that. I can't imagine it will ever happen outside of grand, heavily-promoted, dramatic season finales.

I'd love a quick, sudden, unexpected one halfway through a midseason episode. In the middle of a conversation, he trips over, bangs his head on a coffee table, then two seconds later stands back up and now he's Alfred Molina.

I like ham and Gomez but I'm not a fan of her portrayal either. I think I just prefer a Master with at least some sense of danger about him/her. Have her regen back into Jacobi so he and Capaldi can have a gravitas-off and I'll be happy.

Rob Brydon?

They might as well give it to Olivia Colman. It's imperative that they continue the trend of putting her on TV as much as possible. And like C-Bake and Capaldi, she's been on the show before. Plus she's great.

If you haven't seen "Malcolm Tucker IS Dr Who!" on Youtube, do yourself a favor. If they actually took the show in that direction I'd be right back on board.

I'm in the same boat. I figured this would have some heat given the name brand recognition and the whole Stranger Things thing, but I never would have guessed its trailer views would be even in the same ballpark as F&F or Disney's juggernauts. Heck of a marketing job.

Moffat seems to have that habit. River Song and Irene Adler were the same way. Just crazily capable, in control, unflappable and all-round amazing straight out of the gate. It's like he's preoccupied with taking his super-genius protagonists down a peg by having female characters appear and arbitrarily be able to

This series is mostly crap and it would be fitting for it to continue in cheapo DTV form anyway. You could probably still afford much of the cast and there are plenty of B-level action stars from that era you could bring in to fill in the gaps. Michael Dudikoff, Hulk Hogan, Olivier Gruner, Don "The Dragon" Wilson,

This series puts a lot of emphasis on characters' relationships with their parents, so it follows that they'd focus on that stuff with Flash. If it leads to a Flashpoint movie with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman and Lauren Cohan as Joker then I'm down.

The trailer indicates they have super strength. Was that in the show? I thought their only "powers" were karate skills and access to Voltrons.

It doesn't help that Dan often picks the effort letters from the mailbag - the ones where some dude has written eight unfunny pages about the complex, in-joke-riddled Legend of the Floppers Three done in Arthurian style or whatever. Combined with Dan's inability to read, those are interminable.

Absolutely, that stuff is unwatchable now. I was lucky enough to grow up with fairly lax viewing restrictions so most of my nostalgic attachments are to things which genuinely do hold up (Robocop, Die Hard etc). In terms of animation I was kinda spoiled by the Looney Tunes and Disney stuff early on, and compared to

The affection some people have for stuff from their youth isn't purely nostalgia. Some stuff is, like, good.

What really aggravazes me is they ain't even bother to learn themselves the language.

Whenever a fast food place does any kind of mash-up like this, it's become a meme unto itself to describe it in the worst terms possible. It's a nightmare in food form, a heart attack in a box, an unholy abomination, etc.

I'm very attractive.

What, no questions about the time he found out his son had a thing for female bodybuilders?
