Pretty sure that’s a second gen Taurus headlamp on the RV, but you’re right about the grille does look like the Sebring

This whole post is disrespectful to recovering Volvo addicts. Maybe you don’t understand this, Max - but recovery is a process. Some of us are better with temptation than others.

Mr. Bean Rowan Atkinson.

Personally, I think scientists should be able to explore what interests them with as little impact from the “marketability” of their research. Case in point: Green Fluorescent Protein was discovered by someone studying jellyfish. No one gives a shit about jellyfish unless they’ve just been stung by one. However,

I see what you’re saying about getting crushed by teams with larger funding. That is always a risk in any industry, but I could see it being worse in the hard sciences by 1 or 2 magnitudes. I’m also not saying that this would be your team’s sole source of income, either. That would definitely turn it into more

There definitely needs to be more access to raw data. Especially since most of it is taxpayer-funded. The more that people are exposed to the real work, the better. Call it casual oversight. Maybe some astute individual would have noticed that Anil Porto's claim to be a Rhodes Scholar in Australia was a bit dubious

The real data is almost always behind a steep paywall...

Going to have to step in and represent (do people still represent?). I have 67k miles on my Exige over 12 years. I’ve driven it cross country (PNW to Ohio). I drive my kid to soccer in it. I’ve taken it to the track. I take it to the store in the rain. It’s a great driver’s car. It makes every day driving enjoyable,

The saddest one is the Elise. It's one of the best driver's cars ever!!!

Interesting! Could you please Share more of your experience?

Several years ago, I bought an Elise without driving one beforehand. Years later, I still have it, and it has still ruined every other car for me. And you can’t even buy an Elise anymore.

Not really sure why everyone is losing this shit over this car.....outside of some cool interior bits and the flexible cf there is not much to go crazy over.

I’ve already forgotten.

I’ll help with stars for everyone, agreement on everything said here, and a little extra pretend support that I’ll forget about in five minutes.

I’ll help by starring your comment.

I’ll help by writing this comment.

Someone should set up a Go Fund Me page for this poor old man. I won’t, because I’m busy and/or lazy. But someone really should.

Bullitt aside, I am happy to see that the Maserati Birdcage 75th concept is still being referenced by designers as inspiration (top right):

But the frit band is designed to make the adhesive last a lot longer than four years, so you probably have at least eight worry-free years ahead of you.

I think where white people get mixed up is what they’re supposed to FEEL about their privilege. They (we) too often assume it’s guilt or remorse that’s required. When, in reality, it’s kindness and civility and fairness. And most importantly sometimes, it requires outrage for a plight that’s not your own.
