Whataboutism is a shitty term used to deflect from the terrible things the US/West do. Sorry, but while the US is actively starving Afghanis, cracking down on asylum seekers at their southern border, and holding Defense Expos for MBS, we should be able to criticize them. None of this takes away from criticism of

This isn’t fantasy, it’s basically a porn parody.

Also the fantasy genre has been rife with misogyny and sexism, to this day, it is a huge issue, so what ever point you’re trying to make, it is missing its mark by a mile.

You not thinking about politics while consuming something doesn’t mean that the thing wasn’t created from or influenced by the perspective of a particular ideology.

I haven’t gotten to the point yet where I’m getting death-stares in public, since I just started HRT in the middle of last year, but like, it took me YEARS to get to this point because of the sheer terror of merely existing in a world where a good portion of society would love to see me end up dead in the gutter.

Then

Yes! So much this! All these complaints about spending $70 on a broken game - did you read a review before you spent that money? That’s kind of what the review process is for.

A little lesson: What big game publishers are doing now is what Big Software publishers like Microsoft have been doing for years with Windows

At its core, the game honors the work of dedicated law enforcement officers across the world and in no way intends on glorifying cowardly criminal acts.”

Love it when people who aren’t a part of a marginalized community tell that community how they should be reported on, or what the future should look like for that community. People in here saying Kotaku shouldn’t mention Amy being trans, or that it should be a “footnote”. That’s pretty much the same as saying “not

Acknowledging her trans identity is worlds different from harassing her for it.

Mortgages, car loans, and credit card debts are dischargeable in bankruptcy.

That’s not either a really bad faith argument or you are just ignorant.

You can file for bankruptcy on those things, you can’t for student loans.

My mortgage is right about 2% interest, my car loan was 0%. Get my student loans to that rate and I’ll stop bitching. In fact, I would have already paid them off if they were at 2% interest.

Maybe because pursuing higher education shouldn’t cripple a person’s finances and negatively affect their wellbeing for decades of their lives?

You can walk away from your mortgage, or car loan, or credit card debt. You can also generally resolve that debt for pennies on the dollar when the credit holder just wants to clear it off the books.

I’ve played Against the Storm. Against the Storm is really neat. Tough, but neat. It’s basically a roguelike RTS... thing? Not Warcraft, more a logistics resource management thing on random environments. Think Loop Hero meets Anno or something. If you’re gonna be into it you already know from that description, I’d bet.

when he said they are the worst people in the world that probably also means something different in spain

Well, unless Gigabyte is very thorough in its ass licking to make amends, I shall be boycotting them along with NZXT.

The point is in the how they got hugely successful. They’re fundamentally linked.

Also - capitalism bad! Please show me the number of people in Venezuela buying graphics cards

So people are willing to give their ID and be limited to one GPU per 30 days, but not to wear a mask to enter Walmart or show proof of vaccination to eat at Applebee’s? Fuckers.
