I don’t know what’s going in other forums that has people getting heated over who the “real” DA fans are, but a lot of the people you’re taking swings at are doing exactly what you’re doing: stating a preference.

I would add that it’s not so much that we’re so collectively dumb, but that we’re collectively unwise. Even a gram of wisdom would give us pause when faced with our ignorance and bring into question why we tolerate so much concentration of power in so few people.

I get what you’re saying and I don’t think you’re necessarily oversimplifying. I do disagree though.

I disagree. A lot of bad media is very much worth talking about.

Even if the majority of people taking out these types of loans are using them for superfluous shit like big ass pickups and new TVs, what the people who shit on them don’t seem to understand is that none of this happens in a vacuum. Systems that perpetuate poverty will snowball as will all of the negative effects

You don’t have to self-identity as a transphobe.

Oh right! I totally forgot to account for this thing that isn’t even related to the topic.

You’re missing the forest for the one very specific tree that people refuse to look away from.

This isn’t a simple difference of opinion or belief. The allegations against Scientology and its members are serious.

Buddy, everyone and everything has bias in it and that’s okay.

This.

I don't understand why more people don't use ad blockers. If you enjoy someone's content, they usually have a Patreon. Even a dollar a month there is more than they would have earned from you sitting through 30 seconds of garbage advertisement.

It’s funny how our thinking works in that regard and definitely explains all of the soul crushing bullshit jobs that people have to work these days. You have to work even if there’s no work to do.

moneIf there’s income to tax for UBI, then there’s also no disposable income to spend on products. To me, it sounds

I’ll admit that I enjoy hating on Avatar. It’s a big dumb movie that takes itself too seriously and the people who enjoy it also take it too seriously. However, the same thing could be said about stuff that I enjoy.

I’ve seen this trend among leftists young and old. Essentially, removing words from your vocabulary that reinforce existing hierarchies. I figure there are internal benefits as well as taking away some of the arguments misogynists/fascists use to recruit impressionable young men.

The image chosen even seems satirical. Fox News and CNN? All leftists are tankies? A shotgun blast of reductive takes juxtaposed to a bearded white man who thinks flag is good.

Picard is such a bummer because what season 2 did more than anything else was bring into focus that maybe the time has passed for the TNG crew. They have the bones for a good show. I like Jeri Ryan and I think a show revolving around Seven with Picard as a supporting character could have been excellent. Give her a

Men (predominantly straight and white) are in crisis these days. It’s mostly existential and internal even if being driven by outside factors like income inequality and their diminishing position as a privileged class. That said, anyone who is a member of a marginalized group would be right to scoff at the fits being

I get what you’re saying but the context is important.

Yeah, a corpse is just a corpse but the person they used to be potentially had meaningful relationships with still living people. I guess if it was some dead guy from the 1800s it would be fine? There's a lot of grey area for sure.
