Yeah. It’s sort of like the difference between what is true and what is right. It’s true that the animations suck (about as much as they always have, but it sticks out more these days) but now that it’s attached to a movement like GG, we have to make a moral judgment.

And who are smarter than he is.

I’ve been doing a similar thing with Stardew Valley and Space Engineers. It’s easy for me to get lost running my farm or building my space ship city. All of that basic problem solving keeps me from thinking about the real life problems that can feel overwhelming or lacking in any logical solutions.

So much to unpack.

Overwatch is billed as a highly competitive game so it’s unlikely that they’ll move away from that. I do have similar gripes about it though.

Why did Van Jones have to say that? Even if you’re trying to be fair or give credit where it’s due, you can’t ignore the context. Policy won’t change because Trump gave a pretty speech. It won’t change because of a patriotic circle-jerk over a dead soldier. Let’s ignore the fact that the guy’s dad is still clamoring

Right? Then, because I must hate myself, I go ahead and read some of the comments.

First of all, good video.

In my early teens, I re-watched the Frank Grimes episode of The Simpsons. Grimes goes into a tirade over the fact that Homer, a working-class slob, lives in a palace. That’s when it finally clicked that my family was not at all like the white middle-class families on TV. I shared a room with three other people, and

Fey has written some racist jokes for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Whiskey Foxtrot Tango, and she didn’t cast Afghan people in key roles in the latter.

How are the moose gonna drink the milk without their lips?

Gonna do some programming because I spent the last two days on Civ 6 and Space Engineers almost nonstop. I’m exhausted...

Haha! That’s what I was getting at with my question. They’re going to disregard anyone who writes in that they get their news from Jez, TPM, DailyKos, etc. However, if it looks like they’ve got even more disillusioned conservatives than they thought, it’ll make them worry. Alas, I answered truthfully. If they’re

Yeah, when I got to those sections, I realized my question didn’t make sense. But, to be fair, it’s not easy to make sense out of the shallow loaded questions that make up that “so-called” survey.

Wouldn’t it be better to only answer either yes or no? Other opinion is ambiguous and I’m sure they’re already looking for ways to skew the results in Trump’s favor.

That is a damn shame. I never really kept up with him other than watching some Game Grumps episodes, but just a cursory search of his current goings-on is giving me a bad taste.

I wasn’t entirely clear. I agree with you in that using a slur, even out of anger, betrays an underlying prejudice. I simply meant that there are plenty of examples of people recanting previously held prejudices to become advocates for those they once felt hate toward. In essence, I think people can change so long as

One moment does not define a person. A slur is a sharp implement, and, given sufficient anger, one may be willing to invoke it.

What the fuck? A fine?
